Lucy hope you get your boiler sorted, I know how stressful it must be, our shower is out of action until tomorrow and although we still have the bath, with 2 teenagers plus us and my dd boyfriend trying to sort bath times out as even a nightmare this week as the boilermakers about 2 hours to properly heat up again.
Well I finally finished work today, I officially finished Friday but had one last think to do today so now I can relax, I think I'll pop into town this afternoon and get a few last minute bits and then it's chill time for the rest of the day and tomorrow.
Can't believe tomorrow will be my last OBEM before the baby comes, I hope it's not as horrific as last week.Marrying the man of my dreams30th November 2012 :jLittle Stig due22nd February 20122012 is going to be an awesome year!!!0 -
Just been to town. Had to collect a parcel that royal mail tried to deliver while we were away (appears to be a welcome gift from Avent), deposit a cheque that has been waiting since the beginning of December (!!!), post a cheque to friend's cousin who is organising a hen's night for the friend (I am only joining for dinner, still need to sort out a hotel or B&B) - I forgot to buy stamps for that..., and popped into Boots to do some shopping. So sorted our dinner for tonight - we will have sausages with red cabbage, potato wedges and peas, and got a bottle of beer for OH (and forgot to pay for it at the checkout, good thing noticed before going out through the door and went back to pay for it!!!!). Oh, and apple strudel for desert... And I have to say, it hasn't even taken me an hour, but I feel so knackered already.
My bump was hurting when walking around as well - anything I should be worried?... I don't have a midwife, so with any problems I am to call the big hospital day assessment centre or deliver suite out of hours. Really don't want to do that...Spring into Spring 2015 - 0.7/12lb0 -
Ooh floatylight enjoy your time off! I don't know if all this OBEM is good for me, it's the highlight of my week, but last weeks was a really tough one to sit through
I literally cannot wait to finish work now, it's not that the job is challenging/stressful/physically demanding, it's that my hormones aren't up to it! If I worked alone I'd be fine, it's other people I cannot contend with at the moment! I'm a bit  with everyone and I don't like feeling this way!0 -

Busy day Gin, glad you didn't end up shoplifting, blame the baby brain!I get a sore bump when I've overdone walking around and carrying and the extra brainwork of planning a dinner, sorting the post etc can be exhausting too, the midwife just told me to take it a bit easier, maybe you should put your feet up for the rest of the day?

I am back on the sofa. I took sick leave yesterday and today, but decided to get out of the house for a bit and see how I feel. Well, I am glad i didn't travel to work today. I am sure I haven't overdone anything, honestly - sat in the car, drove to post office to pick a tiniest box, went into town, and left less than an hour after I arrived. The bump was hurting yesterday as well a bit, and during the night. I have found the heart beats yesterday, so hope all is ok. I am seeing my less than useless consultant next Thursday, so will see if she lets me ask anything at all this time...Spring into Spring 2015 - 0.7/12lb0

Emmylou - hopefully you won't have to see that midwife again, im the same when I go to my appointments, I tell the midwife I'm in constant pain with my spd and I get told it won't get better until after baby!! I know there is nothing they can do but I just want a bit of a break sometimes!! My midwife told me to rest and not do too much which is pretty impossible when I have to do the school run 5 days a week and Hoover at least once a day because of a hairy border collie!!

Keep me away from anything. I put some chicken legs to boil and left them cooking... for 3 and a half hours!!!! Only realised when had to go the loo, and there was the tiniest amount of liquid left - the put (4-5 litre) was almost full when I set it!!!!! On the good side, the meat is incredibly soft now!Spring into Spring 2015 - 0.7/12lb0

Thanks Sammie, unfortunately she is my midwife i see every week. Altho up here, they dont deliver the baby, hosp midwives do that! When i first found that out i was gutted as had such a good relationship with my last midwife, she was mine with DD2 and DD3, that she was more like a friend! However, i really am no keen on this one, and am glad she wont be there! To be fair, my SPD isnt actually that bad, its painful at night, but my problem is my hips. I was born with clicky hips and my left one is still really bad now. Its the muscles around it. Was in Sainsbury today and it just went, its worse than cramp!!! Its still not back to normal now
Anyhoo, on a happier note, just had a phone call and washing machine will be here Thursday, YAY!!!!!!!!! Was really starting to worry that with a 2 week wait like they originally said, my waters would break in my bed and i`d have to ask a friend to wash it all hahaha!!! Or that one of the girls would get some sort of bug and make more washing
Have u all had a good Valentines day?! I`ve done naff all haha!
Hope ur ok Gin, and yay for last day at work Floaty!xx
Oooh while i remember, has anyone ever heard of trying accupuncture for bringing on labour? A friend had about it on her fb status months ago, she didnt need it as she had to be induced early, but i am seriously wondering if its worth it. Wouldnt want to do i tho unless someone said they knew of someone that had tried it tho!!! xxMummy to 3 beautiful GIRLS, 9, 7 and 3,and a handsome lil BOY 03.03.12 :T
