Ah thanks Sammie, tbh i`d rather the baby came, the washing machine i have a definate date for haha! Also, if baby is here, sods law the washing machine would come early and on the day i went into labour! Which country park did u go to? I used to go to Queen victoria park alot when i was younger
I know what u mean about it being the last 1/2 term b4 baby...i had so many plans, cinema 2moro, ball pits wed, shopping in town thurs (treat for the eldest DD!) friends round on fri.....everything costs money tho, and i`m poor now thanks to the washing machine!!
Hello to Iceyenjoy ur maternity leave! What sort of things do u mean by are still in use?! I got a new toothbrush, have samples/freebies of toothpaste, shampoo and perfume (smaller than body spray!) in my bag, new pjs (primark, next size up) new slippers (£2 in matalan!) old flannel, old pants, old socks, cheap pair of joggers, tshirt and not very much liked (but too good to be thrown away!) cardi in the bag for coming home
So *think* i`m sorted!!
Does anyone know if Boots take the healthy start vouchers?? I need to get some lactofree milk and so far boots is the only place i can find itI wonder if i asked Sainsburys to order some in they would??
Mozzy i think induction is only described as being more painful because ur body doesnt have chance to build up to the big contractions in its own time. I`m sure u`ll be fine tho xxxMummy to 3 beautiful GIRLS, 9, 7 and 3,and a handsome lil BOY 03.03.12 :T

Dont worry too much Mozzy, think they can go either way. Lirin had an induction and her labour was fast and had great pain relief. xx
Thanks Gilly xHeck are you still here mozzyc?!! I keep popping on for news. Stop reading up on labour - you'll only read horror stories!
Good luck, I hope it happens soon and you have a nice, easy labour!
xx
I know, can you believe it! Haha. There's still hope for a natural labour before Thursday, so hoping for that!
Thanks for the wishes, hope they come true x
Thanks Emmylou!DFD February 2012

Oh Ive been to itchen valley a few times too
All the places like that up here are hilly, and i just cant do them atm! Roll on summer lol!
I wont be queue jumping too much, i`d be upset if anyone queue jumped me tho haha! Maybe if i did go early, i`d just have to not post of here until EDD so i didnt upset anyone *Mozzy and Sitting* I`ve been overdue 3 times now, so i know how frustrating it is. Hence why i`d be so unready for it to happen b4 the 27th lmao! xxMummy to 3 beautiful GIRLS, 9, 7 and 3,and a handsome lil BOY 03.03.12 :T

At the moment it still feels like I have a long weekend off, but it is starting to dawn on me that I won't be going back to work (haven't told them that yet!) and that there is a real baby on the way. I "know" there is a baby as I can feel and see her move about but I doubt anything can actually prepare me for becoming a mummy!
I thinking more along the lines of clothes to go home in, make up etc. Perhaps I will make a list of things to sling in there before we leave that way I will remember the Ribena, water and snacks!Whether you think you can or you can’t, you’re probably right ~ Henry Ford0 -
Keep meaning to ask, does anyone elses baby movements sometimes feel like it is fitting? Its wired to described and has been going on for weeks but sometimes it just goes mental in there? Wish I could see what s/he is up to!
Mine does that, I get kicks in so many places within a split second of each other that I think I must be growing an octopus!!!Oh, I was going to ask about the mattresses for the Moses baskets. Any suggestions? I was thinking about getting the Clevamama foam ones, they seem to sound ok, and might help to reduce the flat head syndrome as well. What other have got who use Moses baskets? (we got the baskets second hand, so want to replace the mattresses)
I got what appears to be a pretty decent foam one from mothercare for less than £10, I think it was this one:

I've then splashed out a bit on a really good one (I hope!) for the cotbed.Does anyone know if Boots take the healthy start vouchers?? I need to get some lactofree milk and so far boots is the only place i can find it
I don't know for definate but I wouldn't be surprised if they do. When I worked there (rather a long time ago now!) they accepted milk tokens and if I understand right the healthy start vouchers replaced those.
I've been out for the day with my mum today, not the most exciting day ever but was nice to go out. Then came home and have sorted out a load of the baby's stuff, removed it from the packaging and put it in drawers etc. i still need to wash it all but I needed to get it out from under the bed so I can use the space under there to store stuff from the dining room which is now the nursery! I need more 0-3 month sleep suits and I don't have any cardigans yet as they will all be hand knitted and need finishing off with buttons and stuff.
Off to make some tea now, stir-frynot one of my favourites but DH really likes it so I do it occasionally for him, nice wife that I am lol!

Oh and meant to say, Icey, you're taking make-up to the hospital!!! I don't reckon I'll find the time, energy or motivation to put make-up on for atleast 3 months after baby arrives lol! I reckon I'll be lucky to brush my hair! But then I'm not a big make-up wearer anyway, I reckon I've probably only worn it 2 or 3 times since xmas!0

Ahhhhh well what a day.
Feel a bit more positive, and certainly more informed!
Saw the diabetes and normal consultant today, and even though my bloods are awful still they have doubled the tablets from 2 a day to 4 a day for the next wek, but it isinevitable (their words) that I will need the insulin injections. So happy as there will be no more wondering, just a case of when.
I am booked in for another scan next Monday and more consultants appointments, so feeling very looked after. Will probably get a better idea of week of induction too - consultant thinks it will be wek 37, but will hold off altering due date again until next Monday!
Had a really lovely day with Lisa yesterday and our OH's, went on the maternity ward tour - which was lovely to see what the rooms were all like and where everything is - admit to being more scared now, but only because these things all make it more real. I was originally told that I wouldn't be alowed a water birth as my BMI was too high, and I was too heavy, just incase they needed to get me out of the water in an emergency, but when I asked on the ward yesterday the midwife seemed quite positive that I could. However after speaking to my consultant about it today it would appear that it is still a no, my weight is deffo over their max (even though there is a bath in every room and I would be allowed a bath!!!) and also because I will b getting induced I apparantly no longer have any birth choices - the choice is be strapped to a monitor laying on the bed - end of! Bit gutted about that, but if that is how it is, then so be it. I know my body though and when in pain I need to be able to move and walk around but when I said that he shook his head, oh well!
Anyway at the end of the tour we were stood in the corridor and my OH decided to tell me he felt faint (it was so warm in there - it was without exageration like being abroad) so I had to find him a chair sharpish, the midwife went and got him a cup of cold water, and I went to the toilet to get him some wet towels to act as a flannel, he did thankfully recover, and managed to walk out of the building without the usual fainting and fitting (anything medical used to set him off, but after all our tests and fertility treatment we thought we had beat it). I was pleased with him, because even though it is a worry he has never been able to warn me before - just ends up on the floor and being carted off to A and E for "tests" that never show anything!
But of geez - what am I going to do when I go into labour if that is that is the result!
So when he recovered we went off to have lunch with Lisa and her OH, was funny though as she'd cancelled the lunch in the morning and was just coming for the tour cause he had man flu and then when he got there he walked in and said "so shall we go for dinner after" - I thought she was going to slap him lol. Poor Lisa - hope you had a nice time anyway! Tut at our contrary men!
Oh well.
Anyway - have we really got 13 days into Feb and have no babies - big big labour vibes where needed!
Oh - anyone got any nice plans for Valentines? We were going to York, but OH has to pop into work for an interview for an additional role to the teaching role he already does. So he is taking me for an Indian instead - it will not help my blood sugar levels at all but tomorrow I don't care - I want an Indian!!!!!x x x xMarried the Man of my dreams 30/08/2008Baby No.1 arrived 04/04/2012, gorgeous little girl after 4 years of fertility issues!!:j:T0 -

I'm working on the assumption that I can take a shower to clean up once she is here. This will mean quality bonding time with daddy and I will have a short while to make myself look as respectable as possible for the photos - no grotty ones of me if I can help it!
Once we're home and have been up all night ... that's another story! :rotfl:
I simply have a shower routine and I think that doing the usual finish with tidying hair and makeup will be automatic. Also, I don't wear loads, a bit of foundation, mascara and eyebrow pencil is my lot.Whether you think you can or you can’t, you’re probably right ~ Henry Ford0
