Congrats Redhead.
Welcome to all the new ladies, there seem to be quite a few of you and I can't remember all your names but lovely to have some new members.Going to look at tumble dryers online tonight, exciting or what! We have real damp problems drying clothes indoors and I'm loathe to get one but see the benefits for the atmosphere in here with a LO so might have to relent
Have you considered a dehumidifier? We have one as we struggle with condensation and damp and I also use it to help try the washing. I just shut it in the kitchen with the clothes on the airer overnight and it takes a good bit of the moisture out of them. We can then also use it in the other rooms to stop them being damp too. A good one isn't cheap but they're very good!
If you'd rather a tumble drier, MIL recently bought a small one made by 'white knight' which apparently had excellent reviews. I saw they had the same one on offer in B&Q at the weekend for £89 so might be worth checking that out.glimmerofhope wrote: »Hi all
Just after some tips. I am in my third trimester and having trouble sleeping on my side. The bed currently has more pillows than John Lewis. I waki in the night with dead or painful legs. I understand I should try not sleep on my back but if I am propped up with lots of pillows is that safe for baby.
Thanks
Glimmer x
Hi Glimmer, was just thinking we hadn't heard much from you recently! Sleeping on your back is perfectly safe for your baby, the only reason its not recommended is that it can make you feel a bit dizzy when you stand up. if you don't get that then its fine.I started to get a pain across the top of my stomach, like I pulled a muscle. Had the exact same thing about 2 months ago, which lasted 3 days that time. I've now had it for 2 days - I'm in agony, can't even get dressed! Keeps me awake at night too as everytime I move slightly, the pain wakes me up. I'm thinking there isn't much point in going to the doctors cos they'll just tell me to grin and bear it. Anybody else suffered something similar?
Hi Norabatty, don't want to worry you but I reckon thats worth a call to your midwife. A pain across the top of your bump can be a sign of pre-eclampsia. A lady on here had a pain like that a while ago and had to go be checked out to make sure it wasn't pre-eclampsia. Its probably not that but definately not worth taking the risk of not getting it checked in my opinion!
Well ladies, the scan went well yesterday. baby's head is still tiny but it has followed the curve of the percentile chart so hasn't dropped any further behind. All its measurements are still small and estimated current weight is only 1lb 14ozs which is right at the bottom of the 'normal' scale but that's fine, as long as its all ok I'd quite like a small baby! I have to go back for my next scan at the big hospital in 5 weeks so i'll be 32+4 then!!!I'm hoping he only wants one more after that as I don't fancy going when I'm too close to my due date, I don't want to end up going into labour and having baby 80 miles away from home!0 -
Anomoly scan tomorrow, really nervous it will throw something up, but also excited to not only see our little one again but to find out what we're having. I can't even consider going to bed atm as I'm so jittery.
It's my birthday tomorrow (1st) so for a pressie I'd really love some good birth announcements or pics of our latest arrivals please
Happy Birthday Dinah
Hope your scan goes well. I was nervous about mine (though not as nervous as my OH bless him) but everything was perfectIt was a real buzz seeing the brain, spine, internal organs and fingers and toes. Our sonographer was great and talked us through everything including what measurements she was taking and why. Finding out the sex wasn't a priority but it was kinda obvious and it added a little extra excitement
Have a fab birthday0 -
:j Congratulations Redhead! :T
Sounds like you had a brilliant birth, can't wait to hear all about it.
Happy birthday Dinah!
I've slept on the futon in the lounge (with DH) for the last 2 nights, and we've both had brilliant sleep!I think it's definitely our mattress that's causing problems, made worse by me being pregnant. Hopefully going to buy a new mattress tonight. Got physio today too.
Have a good day everyone!

Congratulations Redhead
Hope you have a fab birthday Dinah
Really feeling pregnant todayStruggling to walk as SPD is really playing up as i had a very busy weekend. Also not sleeping so that doesn't help. Still positives, only 33 days until due date and only 6 more days at work after today. Think i may feel better when i don't have to drag myself out of bed at 6:15, leave the house at 7 and not back until 6pm, they are loooooong days!
Labour vibes to the boldies, can't believe how quickly i'm moving up the list!0
