  • Forgot to say - had a mammoth shopping day on Saturday - went into Holland & Barrets and got 2 bottles of Raspberry Leaf Capsules for £7.48 (£7.47 each) as they were in their penny sale meaning you buy one get another for a penny - you can get them online for that price too. I worked out that if I take them as per the link on the list on here I would need 140 and there are only 100 in a bottle - hence getting two! It also says on the bottle that you can empty the capsule into a cup and make into tea if you prefer!

I thought it was a bargain, but not sure if anyone else has any better tips.

I have to say, they smell manky - not sure I am looking forward to taking them, but then my Pregnacare vitamins are huge, and the coating tastes horrid too - so maybe just me complaining!

I got those capsules, Snoopy... What I would say is don't bother making them into tea! Just swallow the capsules! Made up as tea they taste disgusting, really bitter. I think others have found some different raspberry leaf tea bags which taste ok but I'm not sure which they are...

thanks for the tip - will keep that in mind! Nothing worse than a manky drink lol.

On a seperate note - does anyone know how many days I need to avoid sweet stuff for before my GTT on Thursday morning, I am really craving sweet things at the moment but don't want to make the test look any worse than it needs to be Thursday! x x

Ooo I keep wondering, when are you supposed to start on the raspberry leaf tea?

On another note, I keep getting sharp pains in my pelvis. Have had them for the last few days. Like a sort of stabbing pain at the front. It seems to come on in the afternoons and evenings. Does anyone else get this or is it just me being odd?!

Sorry snoopy, no idea about GTT, I haven't got one in my list yet, is it around 28 weeks that they do it?

I have decided to treat myself to possibly the last haircut before the arrival of the bundles, so booked myself in for Wednesday lunchtime. Also, will be nice to start getting into holiday mood!!!!

Hi - Yes, have an appointment at 9am Thursday morning for first blood test (not allowed anything to eat or drink other than water from 9 the night before), for a blood test, followed by a drink of lucozade and then another blood test at 11, followed by my anti d injection at 11:15, followed by my 28 midwife appointment at 11:30 - I think the midwife will have to put up with me having some breakfast whilst she sees me otherwise I might become a bit stressy lol x x

I would be starving!!!!!! And dizzy - I had to get up in the morning to get some food, during the weekends I leave OH sleeping and go get my breakfast, as I just can't last. I would say, yes, taking something with you might be a good idea, but I would also be worried about driving, as I get dizzy and feeling funny without food!!!!

They haven't mentioned the GTT to me yet, so may need to ask next time I see consultant/midwife combo.

Why would you/should you take raspberry leaf capsules?
