I shouldn't worry too much about increase rj - Bean has been a bouncing bean all day yesterday and the day before - he usually has a quieter day following a hyper day, but he's been hyper a lot recently. I think it's cos he's moving higher up and gets uncomfortable when I fold my arms etc - yesterday he was right up under my breastbone and it was quite uncomfortable for me.
Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.

Does anyone know if fluffnutter had her baby yet??

I'm going to be spending today, cleaning out my new fitted wardrobe, putting all my baby clothes onto hangers and sorting our the nursery. Yay :)

Thanks Hun. Just had a slight panic I was going Ito labour or something. So uncomfortable today. Every time I walk a foot presses on my cervix and it is not remotely pleasant :(
love you lots like jelly tots :o
  • RJH - Funnily enough bubba was also going nuts yesterday morning for a good couple of hours and had lower back pain. I also got a bit worried that it was a sign!! However nothing happened and the back pain went in the afternoon, wish I could say there was some naughtyness but no luck!! Hubby worried about hurting the baby!

Re the work issue - for me not going back to work isnt really an option. For me working is important, like to have my own money etc and current pay / working conditions / location is such that its worth going back. Taking 9 months and hoping to make use of the company's flexible working policy. Want to work the full time hours (35) but do this over 4 days (so an earlier start) and two hours logged on at home on the 5th day. Its not only monthly wage that i'm considering its that they also pay into a stakeholder pension for me too so its another hidden part of salary to consider. Saying that if i find full time is too much I might consider going part time. Completely giving up work isn't something I would personally consider.

Exciting times today, we are working on setting up bubbas room, washing his clothes etc!! Just having fun putting together his gym mat. A pressie from his auntie!!

Firstly, the questions are routine for everyone, so don't worry about that :)

Secondly, you DO NOT have to see a health visitor, or allow them access to your home or your child if you choose not to. It is a voluntary thing and entirely up to you (as is how much information you choose to divulge :D

Seriously?!As when I rang up to cancel the 1st appointment and rearrange I was told it was something I had to do. The childrens centre is not easy for me to get to where the appointment was and I rang to ask them to either do a home visit or I can meet them at the surgery. The appointment man said this was possible and when a woman rang me back to book it she said it wasn't on a first contact and I was to go there. I said I can't get there without hubby leaving work to take and she said that is all they do. Grrr ... Ah good job they are asking all. I had mentioned to my sister and she said they would have delved into my medical records at the surgery to get all the info. Ah well what's done is done now and I have enough paperwork and leaflets from them to last as bum wipes for a while ... :rotfl:

Just de-lurking while doing the night feed!!

I was asked very randomly at booking app 'do you have your clitoris pierced?' I nearly laughed in her face but she said it so seriously! I suppose they need to know for the birth? Or maybe I just look the type as when I went through my notes, that particular question wasn't even in there.........

    Hope everyone is ok!

    Xx
I just nearly spat my cereal out :rotfl::T:eek:My reply would be he wishes LOL. Looks like I missed the difficult questions on the midwife front then!Although hubby was with me so maybe why!

LOL! Welcome to my world - Gets worse at 38 weeks when that foot is huge!! I tense all mussles, stop dead still and scream. And if she is facing backwards she kicks my lower back and gets my sciatic nerve and my leg goes paralised for a minute:o The cervix touching is most definately something I will NOT miss about this pregnancy!! It's like an elastic band being twanged really hard on bare skin!

  • Morning all!

    Lol MrsB! I wasn't asked I don't think anyway. And I don't anyway! How's little Teddy doing?
Clarissa and Moneypuddle have fun sorting the nursery out :)
RJH hope bubba isn't kicking too hard. Here bubba doesn't like fun time at all and goes solid in one side of my tummy lol and stays there for ages. Maybe he's hiding! :(

Got my friend's wedding today, but I can barely move. OH just asked if he needs to wear a tie.....er it's a wedding? His reply "well the shirts you picked out for me don't really do with ties" pick your own shirt then grr! I'm not sure I can cope with him and a baby boy :rotfl: Think I'll look quite basic today in my dress and little bit of bling. Anyway can't look too glam cos I don't want to show up the bride haha that's my excuse and I'm sticking to it!

Hope you all have a good day and manage to avoid this miserable rain. Hugs to all that need them and labour vibes to those who need them too xxx
