Morning all!
Lol MrsB! I wasn't asked I don't think anyway. And I don't anyway! How's little Teddy doing?
Clarissa and Moneypuddle have fun sorting the nursery out
RJH hope bubba isn't kicking too hard. Here bubba doesn't like fun time at all and goes solid in one side of my tummy lol and stays there for ages. Maybe he's hiding!
Got my friend's wedding today, but I can barely move. OH just asked if he needs to wear a tie.....er it's a wedding? His reply "well the shirts you picked out for me don't really do with ties" pick your own shirt then grr! I'm not sure I can cope with him and a baby boy :rotfl: Think I'll look quite basic today in my dress and little bit of bling. Anyway can't look too glam cos I don't want to show up the bride haha that's my excuse and I'm sticking to it!
Hope you all have a good day and manage to avoid this miserable rain. Hugs to all that need them and labour vibes to those who need them too xxx:j Baby boy arrived 22nd August 2012 :j

Hi LMM, Teddy is lovely thank you can't believe he is nearly 2weeks old already, it's crazy! Had a bit of a wobble with breastfeeding, he fed for 5 days no probs then it all went a bit wrong, he wouldn't latch on and we were both getting stressed out and I was so upset.....so now I'm both expressing and formula feeding and he's doing great :-) is 9lb 9oz now, fat pants!!
Won't be long for you all now, so excited for you xxxxAttitude is a little thing that makes a big difference

Quick question about money - it is child benefit and child tax credit that EVERYONE can claim? Are these dependent on income? Any idea how much they would be?0
-
Trying to quote Moneypuddle but it won't let me!
I'm not sure if Child Benefit is dependent on income. There was some talk of stopping it for families earning £40k or more but I'm not sure if that has actually happened or not.
Child Tax Credit is means-tested but I wasn't sure of the limits but have just found this:
What are the current income limits for getting tax credits?
Whether you can get tax credits, and how much you can get, depends on your own circumstances.
As a very rough guide, if your annual income is not above one of the following 'limits', you can probably get tax credits:- if you have one child it is £26,000
- if you have two children it is £32,200
- if you're single without children it is £13,000
- if you’re in a couple without children it is £18,000
You're not likely to get anything if your income is above these amounts. But it's important to know that:- these income limits don't apply to everyone - for example if you have more children, pay for childcare, have a disability, or your child has a disability, the income limit for you could be higher
- you need to make a claim to get a definite answer to how much you are entitled to
