Hi LMM, Teddy is lovely thank you can't believe he is nearly 2weeks old already, it's crazy! Had a bit of a wobble with breastfeeding, he fed for 5 days no probs then it all went a bit wrong, he wouldn't latch on and we were both getting stressed out and I was so upset.....so now I'm both expressing and formula feeding and he's doing great :-) is 9lb 9oz now, fat pants!!
Won't be long for you all now, so excited for you xxxxAttitude is a little thing that makes a big difference0 -

Quick question about money - it is child benefit and child tax credit that EVERYONE can claim? Are these dependent on income? Any idea how much they would be?0

Trying to quote Moneypuddle but it won't let me!
I'm not sure if Child Benefit is dependent on income. There was some talk of stopping it for families earning £40k or more but I'm not sure if that has actually happened or not.
Child Tax Credit is means-tested but I wasn't sure of the limits but have just found this:
What are the current income limits for getting tax credits?
Whether you can get tax credits, and how much you can get, depends on your own circumstances.
As a very rough guide, if your annual income is not above one of the following 'limits', you can probably get tax credits:- if you have one child it is £26,000
- if you have two children it is £32,200
- if you're single without children it is £13,000
- if you’re in a couple without children it is £18,000
You're not likely to get anything if your income is above these amounts. But it's important to know that:- these income limits don't apply to everyone - for example if you have more children, pay for childcare, have a disability, or your child has a disability, the income limit for you could be higher
- you need to make a claim to get a definite answer to how much you are entitled to

You can always use the Turn2Us calculator just to make sure that you'll be getting everything that you're entitled to too.http://www.turn2us.entitledto.co.uk/entitlementcalculator.aspx2019 Wins

I just indulged in a yummy bacon roll. nom nom.
moneypuddle that is so so cute. awwhhh. cant wait to start my own stuff too.
we popped into town earlier and passed through our local market in Croydon. There is so much fruit and so much cheaper. i think we are going to try and get some shopping done there now. also we popped into alders, who are closing down, and i didnt find stuff i liked in there. baby stuff is so expensive in there. i am happier sticking to supermarkets and the likes of primark.went in there and bought some undies as i need bigger ones.
lucky you got some action rjh.its only now that my naughty senses are coming back to me and i keep asking DH and i think he is scared of coming near me and bump too.
i have to keep trying though right? :rotfl::rotfl:
funny about the mw asking about being related bit. i actually laughed out loud as i am Indian and hubby's not, and yes we may be related but i found that funny still.
