LOL My OH is a b00bs man too... we have been together since we were at school and he has never quite got over the school boy dream of being able to touch b00bs when he wants too so mine get groped all the time...usually accompanied with a honk noise :mad: and it hurts! Now they are bigger I have to sleep topless so they are completely free as it is so much more comfy... the first few nights he said it was distracting him from his sleep!!!

Yeah rups it is particularly this dog glad I made you smile at least, think I might cry if it actually turns up.

The worry never completely goes away but I felt so much better after my 20 week scan and my OH also started to worry less (I didn't know until after but he knows 2 people who found issues at the 20 week one so he was terrified). Since then feeling the baby move and actually developing a bump makes things more real. I think we are both still quite detached from the idea that this is actually going to be baby in less than 3 months but the worry is fading and the excitement is getting more. There isn't any point in worrying about how you are feeling, just go with it I would say

thanks ladies. i hate those feelings so much. DH has booked us a holiday to Italy next month and its after the scan and then as i wasawake, i was thinking, what if something happens? we have a holiday booked. I think (i know everyone has prob said this or heard this before) but i might rest more after the 20 week scan! knowing me, who knws? i just want to know that it ok. if i could i would scan myself everyday! lol

so funny about men and b00bs. what is it with them. yes i get that honk sound too and its irriating esp when sore. this morning i got groped by DH on the escalator and that is when i said what about my belly? lol. silly.

Oh he's so laid back he thinks it will all work out fine. Its one of the reasons I love him but sometimes it drives me mad, especially as he will be right. He agrees about the dog and we have agreed if they bring all baby stuff they ever owned from 30 years ago we will make a selection and offer the rest back or take a trip to the tip. They seriously have a loft full of stuff, never thrown anything away since they got married 40 years ago.

Wow, we have had a lot of things that the in laws have saved - many of which have been returned - bless them. They even saved a baby towel from 30 years ago which was slightly see through!! (The offer of that was declined in case you were wondering hehe)

hello ladies, I am sat here today trying to distract myself from my own thoughts, so thought i'd come see if anyone here has any advice..... I'm 12 days overdue and induction is booked for tomorrow. Have to ring the hospital at lunch time to see what time they want me to go in. LO is showing absolutely no signs of coming of its own accord so it seems induction tomorrow is inevitable.

I have just about got my head around the induction part, really hoping pessaries will be enough as my birth plan was detailing minimal monotoring and a water birth which will be a definate no if they have to use the IV drip to start me off. I've even almost got my head around the possibility that OH will have to go homeovernight if nothings happening, but what I cant get my head around is the possibility of a c-section. I am absolutely petrified of the thought of one, I can't bear it. I'm trying not to get stressed about it as it can trigger my asthma but it's there lurking in my mind and if i think about it i get close to tears, and I dont do tears!!!

Anyone have any advice to reassure me its not worth being scared of the possibility of csection???

LittleMissGiggle, I know it's easier said than done to not worry, as I worry about the slightest things, but having spoken to other teachers etc in staffrooms who've experienced both caesareans and vaginal deliveries, they all said that they recovered a lot quicker from the caesareans than they had done from the vaginal births. Having never had either myself, I can't comment from experience, but this certainly reassured me that if it had to come to a caesarean that hopefully it won't be too bad. Which part of the c-section is the bit that scares you the most? If it's the sounds you hear, you could try plugging yourself into an i-pod or similar - it may be an idea to do this anyway as I know you can get relaxation things to play on these that will help you in a similar way to hypnobirthing.

Hey SexyMouse, thanks for taking the time to reply! I had my appendix removed by key hole surgery a couple of years ago and my recovery from that was tough, so i think its that that worries me the most. I dont want to stay in hospital, i just want to get my baby and come home with my OH. The thought of being poorly and recovering from major surgery when all i want to do is look after my little one just gets me so wound up! I know it will only be done as a last resort for me or baby's health but it just feel like its looming over me!

Ah well I think i just have stay positive- the more positive i am the less likely it is to happen and we all get home quickly and without drama.

I just wish my body would do it naturally of its own accord without induction being required, but obviously not!

Anyway SM I hope you and little one are keeping well, can't believe this weekend it will all be over and i *should* be holding my baby!

LittleMissGiggle, I read something fairly early on which has stuck with me (and I find it reassuring anyway!). You are going in to have a baby. The only goal is to have the baby, however it happens.
(It was written a bit better than that, but that's the idea!).
