To those of you who are worried about the feeling of love when you first see your baby...how do you feel about your bump?

I'm totally in love with mine already and I feel like I have part of OH with me at all times too so I have this weird lovey dovey feeling all the time at the moment - especially now I know he is my little boy! I think that I will be fine when he is born because I already love him IYSWIM...obviously I could be wrong!

Just to let you all know, 2.5 weeks after our little boy was born, we've finally named him...! We got discharged after 5 days, then got readmitted 2 days later - due to losing 12% birth weight, and getting jaundice levels flying through the roof. The main thing is that all is well know, and he's drinking loads (just not latching on, so we're expressing), and he's steadily gaining weight and growing lots.

If you want to update the list, his name is... Ryan Jacob...

Hope all the pregnancies are developing just fine, I haven't exactly had much time to read back on things over the past 2 weeks.

And following from above, we had to do skin to skin because he refused to maintain temperature, we weren't complaining as it was amazing holding him for the first time. My wife was out of it a lot in the first 2 days so I got a lot of bonding time much faster than anticipated. (It's about the only thing I'm pleased that the midwives in postnatal care told us, a lot of the postnatal support we received was borderline dreadful, but that's a different story. Medical care, excellent. Support, shocking!)

Ah I see! I didn't make the connection and thought they were for dunces like me who bought too many vests in the wrong size. they might be useful if the baby takes after me, i've got a long body (dumpy legs though so I'm still not very tall)

congrats whowantstobirch! great news indeed! Hope mummy and baby are fine.

i am liking my bump too and keep checking its there and ok and growing. i dont know how fast/slow it grows? today having some sort of pains. i do feel DH is there too. so lovey isnt it? sometimes i sit on the sofa staring at DH and think, wow we have made this little miracle. i am sooo soppy!

Lol Rups...since finding out the gender I keep looking at OH and thinking 'oh god a mini-me of you to put up with' my OH is borderline ADHD and thinks I am his playmate for wrestling etc
