MIL just left - we've just ordered this (she's paid for it for us). Great price compared to the shops so for anyone that is interested in the Bugaboo Bee, I'd recommend them - we ordered it over the phone as my MIL preferred to do it this way and the lady in the shop was really nice. Should arrive either Monday or Tuesday I expect.
MIL has said she'll store it for us until we want it if we like.

eek!
will read back but back from midwife and she is concerned my blood pressure is too high, at 116/88 - she said they normally get it checked if the bottom number is 90 in my area but as my bottom number is normally 60/70, she was concerned and could i try and relax but pop into the hospital after work tomorrow?!
now, she rang the hospital and they said no, they don't know how busy they are so a community midwife is going to ring me tomorrow after work. I wasn't feeling too good anyway and now all these numbers are making me want to cry? Didn't help she dropped my pot of wee, too as it was looking murky for some reason. I knew I needed hubby to go with me
i dont know why im telling you, as if someone said this the numbers would merge into one but if it means anything to anyone, let me know - I'm 32+2 and measuring 32.5cm. babys heartbeat was also high she said at 170bpm but then went down to 162? boo

Sorry to hear you're worried Student_Mrs - I know it's hard, but try to find something to relax you to help bring your BP down. I'm not an expert, but if baby's heartrate is down to 162, I would've thought that this was fairly normal -maybe baby had just had an active period of movement that put the heartrate up a bit just like when we exercise. Try and put your feet up and watch some rubbish tv. Bump measurement is spot on for your dates too. Get your OH to bring something nice home for dinner for you so you have something to look forward to this evening. Hugs xxEnjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.I married Moon 8/4/2011, baby boy born 26/9/2012, Angel Baby Poppy born 8/11/15, Rainbow baby boy born 11/2/20170

Mrs student we're you worried about anything today! Or nervous about the appt? Or maybe were you rushing there, or get stuck in traffic. Just not to get worked up over one reading, let them check it tomorrow. Although if you stress a lot about it it may stay high.
I have 160 in my head for a heartbeat, but not 100% on that. If they were that worried they would have sent you to the hospital straight away for monitoring etc. at least you know you'll be followed up tomorrow.
I don't really know about the cms to be honest I've only been measured once and it wasn't written down anyway, maybe someone else will know more.

okay, will try and relax properly, as midwife said I wasn't looking as perky as last time, and I had just walked to the doctors, as well as teaching this morning.
I really wanted to do some more painting tonight but may just have to lie downfrom dr google and your lovely selves, its not high high and as you said babys heart rate goes up when he moves - i think he knew i was worried! No more worried than usual but my name comes from the Greek for Warrior and I always joke that mine should be worrier!
I've finally looked at the link you posted kittenpie as me and my friends always joke, where does it all fit?! http://www.msichicago.org/whats-here/exhibits/you/the-exhibit/your-beginning/make-room-for-baby/interactive/ It's so cool and midwife showed me earlier where he was lying (same as 2 weeks ago) so I know its been feet in my side!
dunno why i put measurement on my last post, I'm not worried about it, think was proving to myself I am normal!!

Don't worry about the heartbeat, because:
1. my MW once said that baby's heartbeat should be between 140 and 180 so quite a wide range
2. the heartbeat changes depending on baby's movement. When I was being monitored at the hospital baby's heartbeat would go up when he was moving and go down when it was having a snooze
3. my MW showed me a really fun thing: she tickled my baby's feet the other day and his heartbeat went up so obviously they're affected by what we do too
4. I read somewhere that heartbeat between 140 and 160 may indicate a boy and heartbeat between 160 and 180 a girl. Don't know how true it is but it works for me - we're normally 142-146 and having a boy
I was away from the forum for a few days and had 13 pages to catch up on. Everything is now mixed up in my brain so can't really comment on anything, sorry.
Had my 38+1 MW appointment today. We're 39cm, head down, baby's back to my front and 2/5 engaged :T
Have a nice day everyone.0 -
erm i do that but was wondering whether there is a magical easier way of doing it. i find bending down weird at times now.:)
OK, this might be slightly unconventional and even a bit weird, but this is what I did when I couldn't bend down: sprayed bath with Cif, then threw cleaning sponge into bath, then stepped into bath barefoot and used my feet to move the sponge around, then used shower head to rinse off! It did work, and was a whole lot easier than nagging my OH to do it...0 -
re going over your dates and resisting induction, its totally your decision as long as you and baby are fine i wouldnt worry too much. in france they count you to 41 weeks. surely they can monitor baby with scans etc to make sure everything is alright. dont be forced into anything you dont want to do.
re exercise and pregnancy. i think they say not to start a new fitness regieme when already pregnant. i guess a bit of walking, swimming would be safe. i swim 50 lengths a week and walk 40 mins about twice a week at 35 weeks but i have done this before and during pregnancy.
hope everyone is doing well, so pleased its the weekend. i have two weeks left at work now, next week is a 4 day week and the following week a 3 day week.
