Just thought I'd pop back and see you ladies.

I'm half way through my first day in cloth nappies and I'm really loving it,so for you that are considering it but aren't sure, I'd definitely try it and see what you think. Baby A has a bug at the moment and the nappies are definitely containing it all. I've had one leak but that was to be expected really and was totally my error in not doing the nappy up right (rooky mistake :p ) but I've been impressed anyway.

Ah good, I won it in a competition and it's hanging in his wardrobe but my friend said boys can't wear red so it made me a bit worried. Glad it's ok :)

We have a name for bubs :)

We have a red pram, car seat etc....and we are having a boy. Red is unisex in my mind.

Rups - it's ok I knew what you meant lol

Twinklie - We have a red pram, car seat and red santa suit for him lol it was just the one outfit she didn't seem to approve of, I wonder if that means she's bought it herself as she's also pregnant lol x

Quite possibly. To be honest I don't buy into gender stereotypes and could careless what other people think (as long as they except my baby is the cutest and the best...ha ha ha).

So after saying palpitations have disappeared for the last 48 hours...they are back. Oddly it reassured me that I've not been making it all up and that I should be off work. I keep getting paranoid I'm just being lazy.

Griggsy, the maternity pads are much better than normal sanitary towels and are recommended by the midwives. I think they are more absorbant and also because they are thicker they are more comfortable should you need stitches.
I remember a thread a while back about this - consensus was you need the maternity ones and you need LOTS of them :) Have located a shop which stocks the ones I'm after for OH to nip out to if I don't have enough.

Cute sleepsuits SM. I really like these and these, I love red and white stripes :) but DH says I can't buy any as people will buy stuff for us. I may have to persuade him that we need to buy a going home outfit and a first outfit.

    xx

Emsbet, the first set are gorgeous!! My hubby also wont let me get anymore as he says we have too many, and I can't wait to hang them up like you ikkle.

My lovely mum bought us this set from matalan on the weekend so i think will go in the hospital bag as i agree, all white is a bit much for a non clean baby, especially if we can't bath them straight away!! I bought this fleece blanket, too, going to use it in moses basket or probably pram as we have 1 sleeping bag to try, it was just so soft - prob wont last long as it was so cheap.

teaching was odd today, felt very big and uncomfortable. midwife in an hour and is the only time hubs hasn't been able to attend so feeling sorry for myself :o

Hardly anyone buys sleepsuits btw! We hardly got any, plus I find if you have favourites, you'l use them more. Next sleepsuits I love, they're so snuggly soft, wash great, don't bobble or shrink. Re-sale is good too. Also they're one of the best I've found for sizes when it comes to the legs! x

I need a dress for my best mates wedding when I'll be 36+5. Not a clue what to buy.

I have the solution! Isabella Oliver :) I'm going to 2 weddings at 37+2 and 37+4 and bought it off ebay. I wasn't convinced as I'm a bit of a shortarse and it looked v long on the model, but it arrived this morning and it is AMAZING!

Seriously flattering - so good, in fact that I may have to abandon my plan of re-selling it after the wedding and just keep it for after the baby.

And the best part is that they have a 50% off sale at the minute for their new stuff, but there is quite a lot on ebay and they hold their value well.

Did I mention that i LUUUURVE my new dress? :rotfl:
