With the sleeping thing... I keep waking up on my FRONT! I'm almost 20 weeks and have a bump so I know this is bad but is it dangerous??? Or is it just about comfort?

Morning all, hope you dont mind me joining. Was on the 12-24 thread but its so so quiet!

For those that dont know me, Im 19wk3days with twins after ICSI fet. The 1st ICSI cycle didnt work so we used our 2 frozen embryos and here we are! Had been trying for over 3 years

We have our scan next weds so really looking forward to that, especially now that I feel regular movements and kicks. I am slightly worried but trying not to dwell on the negatives

So if I could be added to the list pls?

I don't think it's dangerous dizsiebubba. At 20 weeks baby is still small enough that he/she can move to a more comfortable position. In a few weeks you'll find you can't roll onto your tummy :) I still find myself occasionally lying, not on my tummy (because that isn't possible anymore) but so far on my side that I've clearly tried to lie on my tummy in my sleep :)

    xx

Rups you can get cat repellent sprays from wilkinsons or pet shops or garden centres home base etc x

Diszi I'm 26 weeks and still sleep on my tummy, there's no danger to the baby in that position, you can't crush him etc its just most people don't feel comfortable as it feels like your laid on a hard ball lol. The back thing is because it puts more pressure on the main artery so can affect blood flow x

I've really struggled with it as like you I'm usually a front sleeper but I don't really have much choice now as I'm too big. I also find it tough sleeping on my sides because my hips get sore so it involves a lot of turning over but there isn't much I can do about it. Lots of pillows help, maybe try a nice big fluffy pillow under your bump so you can lie more on your front but without putting all your weight on your bump. You will probbaly find as you go on, LO kicks you more if you lie on your front and also you may find your bump is sore in the mornings from lying on it so side sleeping maybe more comfortable.

    xx

I cant too so keep turning around. :( i did wonder aboutthe blood flow thing. thanks so much...

dizsiebubba we were in South Croydon and we went to the Spanish tapas place - Gallacias. It was lovely but i couldnt eat much. Then there is a new place called MatthewsYard near old Croydon town and it was lovely. they do teas (herbals, decaff) and also hard drinks for people and snacks. its lovely. we need some nice places around there now. :)

thanks ikkle. think i need that spray as much as love cats. our garden is not that big but whenever i am there, i just hang the washing and i am out of there as i always spot poo. :(

Yeah I think I find it easier to sleep on my tummy because I don't have a bump. I think bubs is that used to me being on my tummy too that he doesn't really mind lol. X
