Ladies I have come to rave about http://www.kiddies-kingdom.com.
I recieved immediate emails to say my the order had been placed - minutes later to say that the order had reached the warehouse - and an hour or so later to say it had been dispatched from the warehouse. This morning I recieved a text message before 930am to give me a 1 hour time slot for delivery. very precice! Your order is due for delivery between 11:54-12:54 today.
very precice! And as you can see from my post time this has just arrived at 12:03.
I have had similar from Kiddicare. I ordered pram and footmuff last Thursday at 4pm and within an hour had a delivery day of Monday which I could change. So changed to today and footmuff should be here between 13.11 and 14.11 - I knew pram wouldn't come until end of July. I did get a bit sucked in by their discount though, I don't even know what a footmuff is and pretty sure I won't need it straight away but it was the same price as pram without it everywhere else. My god I swear I might as well just give up at work. We are so understaffed its ridiculous. So today was of our team couldn't come in because his baby boy has meningitis (:() so of course I expected the rest of the team would pull together to help with covering his work for the rest of this week. Of all the people that could possible help. What do I get:
1 had a dodgy burger last night so is going home in 10 minutes
1 is on holiday this week
1 is out of the office today and has no suggestions
1 had a toenail removed on monday, and is 'too ill' to help
So I'm sat at my desk, 6 months pregnant, in tears on moneysaving expert, trying to sort things by myself with no clue how to get started. I HATE my job. Can't wait to get out of here

oh we are also waiting for the results of our nuchal test whichi gave blood for on Friday. I am not sure how long it takes, but on the leaflet it says that the lab takes two days to sort it out. so am assuming that two days were up yesterday and today i havent still heard anything. hmm not sure whether to get excited yet that all is ok yet or not?
Our results didn't come back for a few weeks - bloods and measurements etc got sent to Birmingham women's hospital for the test and we got a letter about 2 weeks after the scan. It's not just a straightforward yes/no, they use some sort of algorithm to combine nuchal measurement, various protein markers in blood samples, your age and BMI to give a risk factor.Little monkey born November 2012:jFroglet due March 2016

Rups, where is Matthews Yard? It sounds nice

Galicia is where DH and I had our first date - it's really nice and does a great lunch menu, for about £7 you get two tapas plates and a glass of wine (or soft drink). If you go as a group you get so much more than you can possibly eat!
Also nice in South Croydon is Albert's Table - it's more of a 'special occasion' restaurant as it's quite expensive (and Michelin rated!) but really lovely. It was a surprise actually, when I moved in this direction, that we didn't have to go into town to get really good food or for celebratory meals.
We're going to Fish & Grill soon too - they have half price surf n turf on Mondays. Also yummy. Hurrah! (And I will have ONE stupidly expensive Kir Royale, and then stick to water the rest of the evening. Hmph. Having said that, at £9.50 a glass we can probably only afford the one!).
So, in pregnancy related news, I'm getting tummy flutters, which is very exciting! Not all the time and only when I'm sitting quietly. It seems to move a lot when I've got a kitten laying on me purring too - I don't know if it likes or hates the vibration from the purr but it's very cute!
Congratulations to all the ladies who finally met their bumps - I'm not even halfway through and I already can't wait!0 -

((hugs)) moneypuddle, this totally sucks. What I would do is the vital parts of my job and colleague with sick baby's job to the best of my ability, and let everyone else's work deal with itself

Hope everyone is feeling good this morning. Hi Candycane, you're nearly a week ahead of me, but don't worry I'm sure no one minds being bumped down the list

I try really hard to sleep on my left side, but I never manage it. DH sleeps so that he faces that way, and I can't sleep through his noisy breathing, so I always end up rolling onto my right side. Yet however I go to sleep I always wake up on my back, which I know is the worst way to lie, but I just can't help it.
Rups I can't even hang the washing out as I went out today and realised there is poop on the path too. I thought cats were only meant to go in soil, but I must be wrong?! I'm tempted to shoot the kids water gun out of the window when I see the cats out there. Hubby is out for the next couple of days/nights so I can't get him to clean up until the weekend.Cross Stitch Cafe member no.800 -

Sara-ra-ra, so exciting that you're getting movements :j I'm getting some every day now, after the first few being days apart. My beanie appears to enjoy using my bladder as a trampoline though, as I often get a sudden sharp urge to wee, which then goes away just as quickly! Pesky baby!
No other news to report for me, 20 weeks yesterday, and I've got my next scan on Monday afternoon. Getting really excited to see beanie again
Starting to feel really bumpy now, have pilates tonight, so will have to see if I can still do front lying exercises. Last time it was a little uncomfy, but that was 2 weeks ago.
Re: sleeping positions, I've always been a side sleeper, but for the last few weeks I keep waking up on my back! confused! I think it's because I have to sleep propped up on 3 pillows to keep reflux under control, so back lying is more comfy than normal. I also often have sore muscles in my tummy in the morning, so think I need to try sleeping with a pillow under my bumpLittle monkey born November 2012:jFroglet due March 2016
