AMC bless you, not surprised you are feeling tired at this stage! I think own brand vitamins/supplements should be fine - they will probably contain the exact same stuff as pregnacare. I only got pregnacare cos the Tesco I went to didn't have any own brand stuff on display and it was on offer in any case. Glad to hear you are feeling a bit better, hope it wont be too long for you now! And yes, it is sooooo annoying when people tell you their opinions! I know they mean well but when you're pregnant it's like everyone has this license to be all-knowing and more informed than you! My OH's step sister was bang on her due date with her first and another friend has just given birth to her first 10 days early so bit of an old wives tale about 1st baby always going weeks over due date.

Divorcingjack/Kitten Pie Thanks for the info re babies r us - trying to persuade my OH not to go ahead and order the cotbed from there yet as a deak will come up. He's worried if we don't order now we wont get what we want, and end of Aug (next bank holiday) is nly two weeks before our due date! But my friend has a crib for us which we will have in our room to begin with anyway so it really doesn't matter if the cotbed does come a little bit later on! Trying to be very MSE about it all but I really am getting very excited now!
Up early again, just checked ebay cos I put a load of stuff on there the other day (hoping to get some good funds in for the decorating stuff!) Think I am going to get up and do some ironing before I go to work - the pile of clothes is getting ridiculous now! I wouldn't mind but only a little bit of it is mine - I tend to let creases fall out of my clothes, but not allowed to do the same with OH's things!

Vic welcome and congrats. Sorry to hear how rough you've had it since becoming pregnant. Hope things are settling down so you can start enjoying it a bit.

Thank you for the kind words yesterday. The hospital was ok, saw the new reg there (consultant got called to an emergency). Normal wee/ BP. No scan of bubba though no machine so don't know if it's broken. Heard the heartbeat though she mentioned a growth scan. It was mentioned at the start, but the consultant said last time there's no need. However it's written in the notes so the new dr ordered one so awaiting an appt. I'm not complaining, selfishly I know but I like scans saw midwife also, OH told her about be being gloomy and tearful. She was lovely, recommends I see my GP. Also said there's no point seeing her if I'm going to the hospital at the same time, but to go even if I just wanted a chat etc. I'm not keen on taking more tablets as really they're not going to change anything, I still won't be able to walk and do things IYSWIM. I might look into going to one of these baby and bump coffee mornings to see real people.

Weird dream of the night, my sister smacked me on the head with her stilettos. We had an arguement, in was in the street. Very odd. She is coming with her two los for tea later. If she's wearing heels then I'm not opening the door!

Went to babies r us after the appointments to look at cots. Have seen a slightly more expensive cotbed but it has dropsides with OH thinks would be better for me. Also the mattress we'd like is half price Missmonkeymoo we're also hoping there'll be another 10% off offer so we didn't buy it yday. Also we took OHs car and it wouldn't fit in there with my wheelchair etc. I did not come away empty handed though. I got some sheets for the cotbed buy one get one half price (still not cheap, cheap though), a tympanic thermometer in the sale and a room thermometer.

Asda sale can't remember if anyone already said on here, I posted quickly in the Facebook group last night. They have loads of lovely baby stuff in the sale. I was I between appointments so no time to go to the clothing section, but they had loads at the front of the store lots of boys stuff I was eyeing up. A lot of shorts which if I had time I may have got for next year. Would be good for those due soonish in the hope that summer comes

is anyone esle suffering from pregnancy brain? I seem to be forgetting so much! I make lists and then forget where the list is! :mad: dinner was lovely last night and we met lovely new people from around Croydon. i got very tired after dinner and we had gone to check out this new coffee place/bar and it was lovely. DH said we would leave at 10 but we left at 12. i was knackered and so got irritable. in bed by 12.45 so today i feel like a monster! :eek:

I had a few questions to ask but now can only remember one! damn! its regarding sleeping. I had read that sleeping on the sides is better but can you still sleep on your back or not? I was a belly person and this morning i found myself lying slightly on the left side of my belly. i panicked as all that stuff about blood flow etc! i am also soo gassy. last night i only managed to eat a few spanish potatoes with chorizo and i was so full, then i had gas. lots of it.

regarding the garden, i am the same. we have all this cute but random cats and i hate going in there as all i can see is poo. someone mentioned a spray to stop them pooing or coming into the garden. what spray is it please? will get it as i am OCD anyway about washing hands and hubby coming in and out with mucky shoes! I have a kid already! him!!!:rotfl:

Are you kidding? I got asked my due date yday and I just looked blankly at the receptionist, got asked again at the blood test and I said a day in November haha!

As for sleeping, I don't really like my left side never have due to my dodgy right hip. They say left side is the better one to sleep on though.

LMM, ((hugs)) for feeling down. Pregnancy hormones are funny old things. I find myself feeling really low sometimes and I think being stuck in the house doesn't help. You know where to find me if you ever need to chat or just some online company

Not a lot going on here, baby boy is definitely getting stronger and I love watching my whole bump shake when he moves. 29 weeks yesterday! We went and ordered a new sofa and chair yesterday as ours is knackered (DH has had it since he moved in 8 years ago). It's coming a week today so I've now got to get the downstairs doors painted and someone to come clean the carpets by then I'm determined to get up and do some housework today, instead of sitting around like a usless lump all day
