So stressed, had to come on and vent.
I've just watched 3 of the neighbours cats pooping in our garden in the space of the last hour. I haven't been out in weeks because of the rubbish weather, but sent DH out to look and the whole lawn is covered  With the risks of toxoplasmosis I'm now going to be terrified of going out in the garden for the whole summer
Is it only a risk if I get the actual poop on my fingers? Or do the germs stay active on shoes etc? With my kids running in and out as soon as the weather improves I'm freaking out at the thought of the risks.Cross Stitch Cafe member no.800 -

You can contract toxoplasmosis eating unwashed contaminated produce, drinking contaminated water, or handling contaminated soil, cat litter, or meat and then touching your mouth, nose, or eyes. It's not spread person to person.
Just ask your OH to go out and clean the garden and then buy some spray from wilko's etc to keep them out of your garden. Just make sure you wash your hands hun and don't go cleaning the poop up yourself and you will be ok xYou never know how strong you are until being strong is the only choice you have.

Evening everyone, hope your all well?
I've still got a bit of a poorly belly but slept well and the temperature came down although I did have to strip off and open a window.
Work rang and cancelled the meeting set for tomorrow, so I will now be a minimum of 27 weeks when they finally decide to sort out my maternity leave, if they do ever decide to and not cancel on me lol.
We went to Asda today, they have a half price sale on, it looks rubbish on their website but in store they had a lot more available. Our store was rapidly running out of boy clothes though but did have plenty of girls stuff left. We did get 2 nice items though a baby Sylvester sleepsuit and a gorgeous navy and orange Tigger Snowsuit which I think is from last years winter line as it's not on the site anymore and it cost £7 for the both
Also got some fudge from Asda and it seems as if I'm not the only one who likes it as bubs had been quiet (or I just hadn't noticed him much from all the walking) ate some fudge and he was off lol.

Thanks Ikkle, I just go into panic mode at the thought of anything going wrong. I am obsessive about washing my hands anyway, so that shouldn't be too hard. I made the mistake of googling, and ended up in a big panic
Glad your temperature went down, hope you're feeling completely better soon. It sounds like you got some good bargains today, I always love the smowsuits. Our Asda only had really ugly luminous ladies tops and loads of bras in the sale, no baby stuff at all.Cross Stitch Cafe member no.800 -
hey ladies
hope we are all feeling relatively well in our pregnancy bodies - remember its only 9 months lol
Mrs Bryan - congratulationsteddy is a really cute name
Vic_rich - welcome and i hope you dont have so many dramas in the rest of your pregnancy.
ok so i saw my midwife today who explained although my ferratin levels have not increased my Hb and MVC have which are indications of irons levels as well. so she is happy things are increasing so i just have to continue on my iron supplments till end of pregnancy.
35+1 today - baby is still in headdown position, the bony thing i have been feeling under my boobs must be bumb then. she said i have had a little bit of growth spurt as measursing 35cm today. this plots on 90th centile line on the chart - if this continues i should have a reasonably big baby, i am pleased about this, dont know why lol
i was looking at the growth chart and there is a weight based on scan line which if i correspond it to where fundal height and gestation are would make baby out to weigh 6 pound 10. not sure if this is accurate at all, will ask my midwife when i see her next.
a tip i read in supernanny book - use a muslin cloth and wrap around mattress in moses basket where babys head would position. so dribbles/sick go onto muslin, so you have to just wash muslin rather than bedding. ( i hope i have made some sense)
birth plan is done and stuck in notes, the midwife had a few queries over it, she is trying to convince me to have a student midwife present but i read in books its better to have the least amount of people present at the birth as possible which i will stick to.
daisy birthing class was great yesterday:)
wishing you all a good nights sleep, it is pretty humid here!

Hi all, hope everyone is OK. Welcome newbies and congrats on the babies.
Haven't had a very nice week so far as my nan passed away on Sunday night. It is very sad although nice to know that she isn't in pain anymore. The funeral is next Friday so we are all focusing on that now.
Have got the midwife on Thursday i think for more blood tests and then finish work next Thursday so will then be able to relax a bit more from then. Have been very uncomfortable today and yesterday, bump very hard and keep getting kicked in the foof too, although it is distracting me.
Sorry to bring the thread down, I hope everyone else got to enjoy a bit of sunshine today
