Rups32 - I recommend a bump band (ASDA, Amazon). You wear it with your pre-pregnancy unbuttoned trousers and it holds them up. I bought 2 pairs of maternity trousers and was only able to wear them a few weeks each so a waste of money. My bump band, however, is still fab even though I'm 37wks. Asda also do nice cheap tops if you're interested.0

thanks. yes got to be mse on things now. planning to go to matalan when i can be bothered and get some cheapy maternty wear now as everything else on me is tight. lol
My Matalan didn't have any maternity wear in store, just online. I've found that's the same almost everywhere unfortunately
I love my Asos maternity leggings though, so comfy, and they have some really nice fashionable dresses, tops etc

Rups I agree with Emsbet and Silly Moo - I bought some maternity stuff early on and it fitted for a couple of weeks only! Had some great jeans and combats off ebay but the band started to dig in round the pelvic area when I sat down - fitted fine still in all other areas! Luckily, I have a very clever Mum who cut out the band and front section and replaced it with more comfortable material! I really didn't want to have to go and spend MORE money on clothes! Bump bands are a great idea - I even wore some pre-pregnancy combats yesterday with a band and the top button undone. Don't think I will get away with doing that for much longer though - 12 weeks to go - eeek!0

Totally agree with this! I got a topshop one BNWT for £3 off ebay and it is so soft and comfy - I wear it every day with pre-preg jeans! There are loads for sale on ebay, but don't get some of the cheaper ones - primark/new look as they stretch out badly.

You can buy cheap boob tubes in primark that you can use as bump bands or for layering. You never know how strong you are until being strong is the only choice you have.

Wow, lots of newbies! Welcome!
I think I remember some of you from the TTC thread too
You've been a chatty bunch today, hope people are feeling better, yesterday seemed a poo day for most people!
I was also told to photocopy my MATB1 form as MW said I wouldn't be able to get another if it got lost/misplaced. My work needed the original and OH's work needed a copy too.
We got the Sanctuary cotbed from Mothercare £130, mattress was reduced to £55 and then got 10% off so got both for £167, bargain! Paid for by OH nan too bless her, she's 86 and done it for the other grandkids so wanted to do it for us too, bless her.
I second that about cheaper Pregnacare multivitamins, I've been taking Boots own brand, getting them when they are on 3 for 2, they have exactly the same stuff in them!
Gotta be MSE :money:
My 2 best friends have been over for tea and cake today, was lovely! We try to meet up once or twice a week. One of my friends used to do reflexology so gave me a lovely foot massage to try and bring this baby on! It was amazing
6 days and counting until I'm a boldie........:eek:Attitude is a little thing that makes a big difference
