We have this cot (only ours has natural finish not white). Decided not to go for cotbed as we have a spare guest bed in the nursery (it used to be a guest room) and are planning to move our LO onto the adult bed once he's outgrown his cot.

Pretty. John Lewis do a similar one for the same price. I went for a cot too. For two reasons - 1) we're not having a moses basket so it needs to fit in our room for a while 2) a cotbed's great but what if we manage to have another baby? We'll need the cot for No. 2 so No. 1 might as well go straight into a bed.

You've just basically posted my post before me! I've got the Anna in beech too.

Yay Im a forty number :j was getting sick of going up and down the fifty's !

Im having a MUCH better day today, thanks again to those who offered kind words :D

The wardrobe arrived at 7:30 am this morning  but we were all up and about as the !!!!!!s rang at 7:20 !!

Ewan the sheep arrived as did my ds2's new wii game so im in for a peaceful weekend looking at the back of their heads whilst they kill baddies

As for cots, we were given a 2nd hand one when my ds1 was born which (according to dh ) is perfectly fine to use for this one. Im hoping its been damaged in storage though as I'd like a new one to match the new wardrobe, and they can be picked up quite cheaply. We didnt ever get a cotbed or junior bed, the cot has a dropside on it which we removed so the boys could get in and out of themselves and when they were about 2 or 3 we put them into their current high sleeper beds.

Lots of pelvic pain today. Lower backache and a period-type pain kept waking me up intermittently last night. When I saw the midwife yesterday, she said the baby's head's moved down even further. Last time she could still feel 3/5ths, yesterday it was only 1/5th. That's practically hanging out isn't it?!

    It's a sign surely?! :D

Ohh how exciting!! Can I ask, have you had lots of period type pains in the last few weeks? I keep getting them more or less every day since I was 35/36 weeks and (this is going to sound odd) like achey lady bits - almost as if everything is going to just fall out :o maybe thats TMI sorry ladies!

Hope everyone is well and sorry to hear some are having a rubbish day! 2 weeks today till EDD:eek::eek: not done any batch cooking yet...better pull my finger out!

    Tenth Anniversary Combo Breaker
    Hi everyone,

After much research I have decided to buy the Tommy Tippee digital video monitor with sensor pad. Tommy Tippee website are offering £40 off with free delivery over £50 so final cost is £159.99. Thought I'd share the link: http://www.tommeetippee.co.uk/product/digital_video_monitor_with_movement_sensor_pad/

Tesco have it discounted as well but out of stock, would have preferred to got it from Tesco as I would have got clubcard points :(

I was all set to buy a tomy video monitor until my friend told me about the sensor pads. Now that I've read up on them I couldn't not buy one as I think as a first time mum it'll help me be less anxious. I've had mixed reviews from friends/family on sensor pads as they say the alarm can off accidently and scare you but after reading every review I could find I feel it's worth the false alarms and the hefty price tag.

We're going for a cot for the same reasons - no space in the nursery, plus planning no2 for when no1 is 2-3 (assuming all goes smoothly etc!), so will need to put them in a bed then!

I've decided to start packing my hospital bag - high time as I'm 37+1! I've been looking at various websites to give me ideas of what to pack and some of them mention chocolates/goodies basket for hospital staff.

Is anyone going to take along something for the hospital staff and if yes then would you give it to them before or after your labour?
