MSE Pregnancy Club 24

Candlewax

Hi all, I'm 10 weeks pregnant and had my first appointment with the midwife this week. The urine sample showed a possible infection. The last square on the test stick turned from white to purple. I am waiting for the results of a urine sample to see if there is an infection. Did anyone else have this? I have no symptoms except a slight pain to my side every now and again which may indicate a water infection but i'm not sure. We have had early scans and know the pregnancy is not ectopic this time. Midwife said it is probably nothing to worry about. But I am a bit. Did anyone else have this?

Had my 16 week midwife appointment yesterday and heard the heartbeat for the first time, the best sound in the world! I'm tearing up now just thinking about it. Pregnancy has made me soft

I haven't had any infections (touch wood) but I would imagine once they know what it is they will give you some antibiotics to take. Try not to worry as infections a more common in pregnant women as our immune systems are suppressed. Big ((hugs)).

I have just come from the less than 12 weeks thread and had my scan today. saw the little one. yay!! :0) i supposedly 13+4 weeks today and EDD of 24/12. am excited but more in the state of drained right now as have a headache.

Hi all hope everyone is well have just had my 31 week midwife appointment. Heard the heartbeat again which was lovely but getting in a bit of a tizz about the birth. We're moving from devon to south wales and its taking forever-we first put the offer in in march! We shouldn't be far off completion now but am dreading rushing round once we've moved trying to find midwives and stuff-i can see it all being really last minute! I can see the baby arriving before we get settled!

i also booked my 20 week scan today and am meant to ring up the mw to book up for my 16 week meeting but i will do it tomorrow. or monday.

its still sinking in. feels surreal esp after the way i have been worrying. silly me. :0) i am still taking folic acid and my vitamin d. shall i continue thie for a while yet?

Rups! great to see you on here, been wondering when you were going to come across! So pleased that the scan went well. As for vitamins, I have been taking pregnacare throughout my pregnancy and when I forget to take it I get lots of tellings off from OH!

Silly Moo I was thinking about presents for my midwife the other day - i am lucky enough to see the same one each time at my surgery and she has been brilliant so will def get her a little something. As for the ones who attend at my labour, i will have some generic little goodies as thankyous at the ready but they're only going to get them if they really have ben fantastic! I;m not giving them out if they don't deserve them, lol!

LMM My Mum said she and Dad would get the cotbed we were after, but the one we want is from Babies R Us and it;s in a deal with mattress, bedding etc and is £375! OH thinks that this is a lot to ask for and I feel uncomfortable about it too, so I can empathise. It's my parents first grandchild so I know that they will want to contribute, but I would rather they told me what they wanted to put in so I don;t feel like I have pressured them into anything! The cotbed we are looking at is the Winnie the Pooh one in Antique Pine - it's the only one that OH likes!

House is finally getting sorted - OH is doing the loft flooring this weekend so my spare room will finally be cleared of all the junk! i can then get stuff on ebay/freecycle and clear some more space! plasterer is booked in for week after next and then the central heating goes in the week after that! We're looking at flooring at the mo, so the intention is to get that fitted when the heating is in and then the week after the decorator will be in to paint all of downstairs! We just need to add a massive bookcase in the recess, put some new skirting on and we're done! Phew! Then we can start on the nursery - lol!

Thanks missmonkeymoo. it is now sinking in for me. i need to get maternity clothes as my belly is out there already. we saw lots of gas in my belly today too around the baby. haha...

didnt even think about getting room prepared and stuff. that will be so exciting. DH can use his fiery temper into sorting stuff out rather than gettng irritable and annoying lol.

ok i still have my folic acid so i could go and get some pregnacare i suppose.
