    Morning everyone!

Hope everyone had a lovely long weekend!

Massive congratulations turtlemoose on the birth of baby Reuben! Hope you both start to feel better and are home soon :)

I'm amazed at the amount of you that are going to be using reusable nappies, it hadn't even crossed my mind! Will be viewing everyones comments with interest!

We ordered the cot bed and mattress from mothercare on Monday, waiting for it to be delivered sometime today! Can't wait to get it all up and ready, even though baby wont be in it for a few months, the nursery will be complete!

We were given £150 from OH's nan to get the cot, and had a £20 mothercare voucher from a friend to use too. The cot was £130 and the mattress £100 so thought, well thats ok we'll only have to put £50 to it.
Then saw 10% off online when you spend £100, and then mattress was half price! So got the cot bed and mattress for £167! £3 change! Love a bargain :T

Not much else to report really, OH has taken this week off of work just doing some bits of DIY and gardening etc. I'm feeling lazy and just watching him and making the odd cuppa!

Turning into a busy week really. Visiting family and friends, was SIL birthday yesterday so had a nice BBQ in the rain! Our friends daughter has just had open heart surgery bless her, she's only 11 and its her birthday today so we're popping round to see her later.

Then got our best friends wedding on Saturday, really hope the weather stays dry for them! Everyone is predicting I go into labour in the middle of the ceremony so I'll be very happy to prove them wrong!

Wonder how Jovi is getting on today, she should be having mummy cuddles soon!

    xxx

Well Mrs Chaos is in the last 10 days before her due date, the bags are packed the crib is built, the buggy ordered (OK a BIT late- but its supposed to be here for tomorrow)

I seem to be having an ‘eye of the storm’ where my fears and worries have died down (they were getting big). I’ve sorted out LHA and tax credits – it sucks I’ll get Statutory paternity pay next month (which isn’t very much cash at all) but unlike some countries (America I’m looking at you!) at least we get it.

We’ve got a mix of 2nd hand /NOS reusable nappies and donated disposable nappies (friend just had twins so had an excess) clothing wise, ‘er indoors has been making more ‘alternative’ style clothes (babygrows, dresses in cool fabric and the like) so we don’t have to have 100% the same as everyone else has! Its kept her really busy using her artistic skills (she was a t-shirt screenprinter / artworker until the bump got too big)- see them here – we even managed to sell at a craft fare on Saturday but the bus ride back was a nightmare!!

Unfortunately living on top of a big hill going out is OK, but getting home is a nightmare for her. People were telling me ‘get as much sleep as you can’ but that’s been at a premium recently as she cant sleep, I cant sleep. Its ok, I’m functioning on coffee and that fact that soon I’ll be a dad keeps a smile on my face! :)

Morning ladies. Heavy nights sleep -lots of pain when I did turn over lol. Need to tidy up from the weekend today and try and clean the living room. Then I will get up and pull out all the baby clothes and start making a list. I am sooo behind. The baby could be here in 3 weeks LOL.

Don't feel too guilty we only got to that stage this weekend when the baby could have been due in a WEEK! - I still have a mountain of clothes washing to do and the living room seemed to get untidyed as we tidied the bathroom and bedroom!

Jordan, those designs look lovely very Ed Hardy. :)

Thank you all for your comments regarding yesterday, feeling better now just dissapointed.

We have most baby stuff already in storage and were planning on going through it all and having a day of baby however after the babies r us incident we weren't strong enough to go through all the clothes. At least they are all freshly washed etc so when we do go through it it is all ready to go so there is no rush.

OH is feeling guilty about not celebrating LadyBoyd and then when he does get excited and want to plan things he feels guilty for for that too. He is also comparing to last time so whenever he feels LadyBoyd kick it is encompassed by sadness too. This time last time we were busy reading baby books trying to absorb all we could this time we are busy reading bee books distracting us as much as possible.

Sorry for the depressing posts lately, I will cheer up soon. I am generally an optimistic person (Honest!)

Well I worked at a studio we had some HUGE ed hardy prints on the wall so I think that maybe the it influenced the mrs quite a bit! People dont know he was a ground breaking tattooist - you are totally allowed to feel down sometimes, and the more moaning you do here, the less you do at home! (I find!!!)

Massive congratulations Turtlemoose on baby Reuben, such a beautiful name.

I'm really surprised also at the amount of people going to use reuaseable nappies. I told my OH last night and his face said it all - not a flaming heck we're using them. The more you guys chat about it the more I'm coming round to the idea so who knows. Can anyone reccomend a good baby book for first time mums? I read previous a someone had a got a book that details a week to week what to expect book??

I just bought the Maxi Cosi Pebble car seat. Got it for £118 which I didn't think was too bad. It's £130, but Boots have a 10% off code, plus I went through Quidco. So I'll get some cashback and points as well. Yey me. It's my first BIG purchase. Exciting!

@betty, your local council will have info and if you live in a reasonably urban area there may even be a nappy cleaning service. I'm just going to consult the missy - and get some links for you
