Morning ladies,
Wow, I have been AWOL for a few days and you have all been very chattyNot been able to read back yet but will get a brew and do so after this
(((hugs))) to anyone in need and :wave:to any newbies
Have had a hectic few days here, Jake is away until Monday so it should have been quiet, he left on Wednesday (am really missing him), the same day as my mum came round for a brew... Well, was meant to be for a brew, ended up as a massive telling off session as my house is not tidy enough, her pulling my front room apart as I sat crying, then her shouting at my OH when he got home for not helping me with house things (he is quite traditional in that he works now so I look after house and I don't mind that as much but I have been asking for the heavy lifting and things to be done for months and nothing has happened... well, it is starting to now - I think he is scared of my mum :rotfl:). Anyways, mum came back yesterday and we demolished kitchen so that looks nice and shiny too, I have a long long list of things to do and then she is back on Sun/Mon and Tues.... no rest for me before baby then
At least the house will be sorted properly, I have been doing all the daily things to keep it clean but not been able to do any deep cleaning for ages (like moving things out to clean behind etc) and I think OH just thought I was nagging when I asked
Gonna go read back, am up earlier than I expected this morning so have a spare bit of time before have to crack on

Thanks for sharing your experiences dizzi - tbh I've been thinking about the affordability of doing supply for a while now, as I have to travel quite a way for my bookings, and with petrol costs mounting, it's starting to become less and less worth it. As you say, supply bookings have become increasingly fewer and far between, so wouldn't want to send Bean to a nursery if I ended up not working on the day.
Thank you to all of the other ladies who've shared their experiences of not working too.
Congratulations to MrsH - lovely names.
jovi my Mum came over the other day after she'd been into town, and pretty much said the same thing to me about my house being a state and that Moon should be doing more to help. She's currently packing up my Nana's house ready to sell, and has said that when she's recovered from that, that she'll come over and help me. I'm sort of looking forward to this but also slightly dreading it too, as a lot of stuff is Moon's and I don't want to interfere with it.
Well I'd better go and get dressed and get on my way to my course.
Hugs to all who need or want them,

Good morning!
MrsH big congratulations!!! Beautiful namehope the labour wasn't too bad, looking forward to hearing more when you have time.
Kitten that's awful. No wonder you're worried, especially if you're at home during the day.
Jovi at least your mum is staying around to help you a bit with the tidying. My house needs a good sort out too but it's hard trying to blitz it. Hoping once it's done I might keep it tidier.....failed for the last 28 yrs thoughdon't overdo it tho. Try and break it into smaller tasks and take regular breaks and drinks.
Bellola Hope you have a great time in Francelucky you! Yes take your notes and a good phrase book and as RHJ says make sure you have your E111 card.
Not sure what to do today. Had a painful day yday so don't want to overdo it. Although I've a long list of things to do:j Baby boy arrived 22nd August 2012 :j

Congratulations on the baby news MrsH, I love the name!
I've been called back to the hospital for more blood tests as they are concerned about my iron levels. Need to pop in for more tests before work, which is lovely. Explains why I have been so wiped out though.:DYummy mummy, runner, baker and procrastinator0
