Congratulations MrsH!
I've not posted for a few days as I've been rather busy but I have a day off work today so I've been able to catch up a bit. I was hoping to take myself off to the cinema this afternoon to see What to Expect When You're Expecting but it turns out it's only on in the evenings.
I received a load of stuff in the post yesterday from my local Children's Centre. They are offering a free eight week course of NCT antenatal/parencraft classes which I'm definitely going to sign up for. I'm really chuffed actually as all we get on the NHS in this area is one poxy 2 1/2 hour class.
Hope everyone is well today and not too many aches and pains for people (mishka I feel your pain re groin pain - that's that's the main problem I've been having).0 -
Congratulations Mrs H!!
Thank you Ikkle sitting here with OH and went to go to the website until I read that the stuff we wanted is still out of stockmight have to pop into our local store.

Many many congratulations to MrsH2b :happyhear - beautiful name and a bit of a surprise to actually have a due date baby!
Sexymouse - the cost of childcare is such a worry isn't it? At the moment my plan is to go back to work in April for 2 and a half days. Little man will be at nursery for 2 days and mum has very kindly said she would like to have him one afternoon. It is going to be a huge chunk of an already much reduced salary. This time last year we would have been just about been eligible from some help from Child Tax Credit - not a chance now that they slashed the thresholds by halfStill PMA - we'll get by and cope, nothing else for it
Hi and welcome NBirdy
37 weeks today and really feeling it - bump is making laying down uncomfortable in any position. I haven't had a decent night's sleep in over 3 months because of heartburn, SPD and an over active mind/imagination - now I can add a huge bump to the list
Taking my sister out for lunch today then want to take puppy dog for a walk to try and keep as active as possible. Me and DH going to cinema tonight to see Men in Black 3. We saw What to Expect last Friday night - thought we best make the most of the uninterupted couple time we have left!
Have a lovely day all xxMFW!

Well, they're obviously not rushing to get me scanned to check the baby's size. Hospital's just rung and the appt's in two weeks! I'll probably be giving birth whilst they're scanning me...

don't overdo it tho. Try and break it into smaller tasks and take regular breaks and drinks.
She has been an absolute star to be honest :jOnce I had stopped crying on Wednesday, there was just a feeling of sheer relief that someone was helping with it allOH is a bit of a hoarder (not on same scale as on that program on C4), and mum is completely indiscriminate about what she bins - she filled up 8 bin liners in the front room alone
It's quite funny at the moment, since Wednesday, we have bought a new rug, new curtains and nets for the front room and the cats are refusing to come in - I think the smell must be different with all the cleaning.... we keep seeing them walk in and kind of mentally check they are in the right house :rotfl:
Speaking of cats, here is Chewy (AKA Stupid Cat) trying to hide from the rain yesterday....
We have a few trees in the back garden so there were plenty of places to hide but nooooooo he chose a leaf :rotfl:

That is such a cute cat! Stupid's such a common name for cats, don't you think? Mine's called Stupid as well.
He's there on the left, in my avatar. Looking stupid."Growth for growth's sake is the ideology of the cancer cell" - Edward Abbey.0 -

He has other names but I would probably be banned for using them hereHe is cute but don't let it fool you, he is severely lacking in the intelligence department
