I know your having a boy Mishka but I love Elena, it was one of the names I suggested to OH for a girl but he didn't like it and changed it to Alana cos he's stubborn. As for your boys names I like Caleb too it's really nice :) x

I've washed all my nappies so they're ready for action...they still have so very slight p*ssy aroma though...how do I get rid? Labels say wash at 30-40 and don't use fabric conditioner.
Perhaps some essential oil in there as well? I've just started looking at nappies (going to go re-usable as well) and I'm sure it was mentioned on some sites. I have some soap-nuts as well, if you had any I'd give them a shot (you put the essential oil on the bag of soap-nuts). Thinking back on it I think it was something like 'put some essential oil on a bit of cloth and put it in the machine' for the nappies (or am I going mad?)

Elena is also on our list. :)

I like Blake but it feels more of a girls name since Blake Lively.
Issaac is my cousins name so automatically dislike it but don't see any reason you shouldn't use it, it is a nice name.
Caleb is my favourite out of those but then both me and OH loved American Gothic when we were younger.

So on the names topic, are there any good books out there? I picked up one at the NCT nearly new sale on Saturday, but it's not that great - it has decided to source names (heavily) from Native American (amongst others) which are completely unpronounceable! Or... do I just need to keep browsing the 'net and noting names we come across that we like? We have a fairly unusual surname so need something that works with it so I'm casting my net far and wide.

We have 3 names, if anyone cares to give opinions :D my Fav is Blake, OH likes Caleb and Issac. We will pick 2 from these, our surname is Norman so not too worried - although I have said I prefer not to have Isaac Norman as in my head I hear Isaac Newton

Love Caleb and Blake - my friends babies are called caleb and Blake. I get what you mean about Isaac Norman and Isaac Newton. We like Ellis Hilton which I worry is a little like Paris Hilton :rotfl:

I bought 40,001 baby names but wouldn't recommend that. Its just full of such made up names to make the total higher - from the top of my head Bacon and Schmoopie are listed. Erm..?!?! I wouldn't even call my dog those things. And certain really obvious normal names are missing completely!

Ive been looking on babyandbump but most of the suggestions from there I dont like, and they seem to spell everything strangely (like jaxon kupa for Jackson cooper ??) but it has helped me cross a few off the list if nothing else.

ive found myself reading the credits for everything now scanning for possibles

We also bought that book and ended up throwing it across the room. They are all made up names.

I just want an English name book without all the Americanisms.
