I'm off work ill today :(

I have incredibly sensitive skin on my face and used suncream yesterday, suffered an allergic reaction which rendered my eyes almost shut this morning. They are now large and puffy and my skin on my face feels as though its covered in loads of tiny little spots. Horrible! I couldn't face work today. I normally wear make up and couldnt face touching my poorly face today, so emailed in sick. My balance is also really off today. I can't sit up properly and feel sick constantly. Eugh. I'm 21 weeks and 4 days now so its definitely not morning sickness anymore.

I feel really guilty about being off and just sitting on my sofa :(

Kitten - I really like the name Aurora can't think of any way it she could be bullied for it. Our surname is Squires and for a girl OH liked Alana Rose which would mean the initials ARS so that was a no no. Then for a boy he suggested Jacob Anthony William so the initials JAWS so I said no incase the little one has problems with his teeth as didn't want him being bullied. It's hard work thinking of baby names lol.

Turtle moose, OH bought 12 ice lollies yesterday and they've all gone now!!

I'm trying to look up pain relief and coping mechanisms for labour. I'm not allowed an epidural and they don't want to do a c-section, and I can't have a water birth, I'm personally feeling negative against pethidine as well so can rapidly see my options going down even though i was hoping to try with just gas and air I'm thinking looking into breathing techniques and hypno birthing etc might be a good idea.

Morning all. Just finished putting a second coat of paint on the new staircase :o So fed up with it all now! But gotta be done, carpet being fitted on wed. Nearly there...

Been awol for a few days, been very busy with, yep you guessed it, diy!

That's me done for the day now though, going to have a cool shower, then this avo I'm going to matalan with my friend as I'm sure someone mentioned they had some good baby bits.

Bit nervous - just put my curtains in the washing machine...they're dry clean only...I just couldn't be bothered to take them to the dry cleaners. Have I made a terrible mistake?!

Re names, we've both been pretty certain of our name if it's a girl. It's unusual but very traditional. Not 100% certain of middle names though. Boys name I think we've decided, but DH wants a name that I'm not sure about for the middle name...it's very unusual! But then again it's only a middle name, they don't have to use it very often!

I've washed all my nappies so they're ready for action...they still have so very slight p*ssy aroma though...how do I get rid? Labels say wash at 30-40 and don't use fabric conditioner.

    BB x

*hugs* to muddypuddle. Have you spoken to your GP or a pharmacist to see if there's anything they can give you to reduce the swelling?
Is the being off balance a new thing? It could be just down to your centre of gravity being different due to the bump but if it came on suddenly or you're feeling generally unwell it may be worth speaking to your GP or midwife.

Unfortunately you can still get morning sickness at 21 weeks - some people are sick and feel nauseous throughout the whole of their pregnancy.

Kitten_Pie, Aurora is a lovely name :) I wouldn't worry too much about her being open to bullying with that name - there's nothing obvious which it can be changed to and to be honest if kids are so inclined they'll come up with something regardless of what you call your child.

hmmm ice-lolly o'clock :) I will be good and wait until I've done the references for my essay - I need the incentive, in fact I'd better get it done now ...

Right my afternoon is planned, gonna go make sausage pasta for dinner for me and DS then pop to park to feed the ducks and come back via shop (for ice lollys), we are then baking coconut pyramids before OH gets home :)

Tea tonight is bacon and pea risotto so should be nice and light :)

DS is going away on Wednesday until Monday so trying to make the most of this time with him.. it's the longest we've been apart since he was born  Gonna really miss him :(
  • Thanks for that Mrs Manda I'll have a proper look at that later :)
Hugs money puddle sounds rotten. Just take it easy today and let your face recover. Don't feel guilty, if you're not 100% just recover. Work will continue or be there tomorrow.
Kitten Aurora sounds lovely, although I'm sitting here trying to say it and I'm not sure I can. There are quite a few words I cannot get my tongue around tho. How do you say it? It's quite unusual too.
Rebekah isn't it amazing? I always smile to myself when bubba starts kicking :) just such a blessing
Turtlemoose it's always ice lolly o'clock here :)
