Hi lady. I can't even imagine how u must be feeling. I suffered from me in my teens and was bed bound a lot. I like to say ten years later that I'm clear of
It but I know I get more tired quicker than others and have a lot of naps to try and cope even pre pregnancy.

Hello.

I'm so glad that you're free from it. It's one of those conditions that can get better or can stay for life. I read somewhere that if you have it in your teens, you're more likely to recover as you get older, but I'm not sure what evidence there is to suggest that or how true it is. It doesn't make up for the fact that your teen years were robbed by this terrible illness though!

Phew ladies, another scorching day! Had a lovely day yesterday, my friend came round for tea and cake in the morning (Happy, if I had a magic carpet, I would have whizzed you and your gorgeous boys over for a slice ) Then when DH got home from work we spent the afternoon chatting and relaxing in the garden before going over to my mums for a lovely and fun BBQ in the evening. Today DH is out all day off-roading (his very important hobby!) so I am pottering about at home, mainly indoors as caught the sun a little too much yesterday

Hope everyone is OK - welcome LadyM :hello: and Gilly, thank you so much for that explanation about signs of labour and that link as I was pondering the exact same things as MrsManda!

Twinklie I'm sure I read here that Vaseline can be useful to use down below to cover sore bits when weeing post birth. Not sure how true or practical it is though. I would take lots of water/drinks. Hospitals are very hot and stuffy. If taps are all drinking water then it's not too bad and you have someone to fill it up.
I don't go anywhere without a notepad and pen. You may want to jot things down or record memories. Or write lists of things....I love lists lol.
I'm not experienced at all. I was lurking on the birth to a year thread and copied big chunks of advice from there. Some for when you get home etc. if you want I could copy onto a pm for you? It's upstairs on my iPad tho.

It's roasting here!! Been out for a few hours this morning and consumed a couple of ice lollies and got a few plants for the garden. Am shattered now. Just resting in the shade before some tidying and planting my plants.

I had a lovely day yesterday, it was nice spending time with my bestest. We all went for a lovely dinner at the palace hotel before going to see Rhod. It was so lovely and we had the pre-theatre menu, two courses for £12.95 so very :money: Rhod was hilarious but I got so uncomfortable near then end that I couldn't concentrate properly on the last 30 mins. Also he overran so we had to run for our train. My ankles and feet were so puffy when I got back and they're still a little puffy now.

I haven't seen my friend for about a month and our other friends I hadn't seen for a few weeks and they were all saying how much my bump had grown and how I look "properly pregnant" now which was nice to hear

It is so lush hearing that isn't it? I loved looking pregnant rather than just fat - although now I look like I have swallowed several bowling balls

Glad you had a lovely evening - put those puffy feet up for the rest of the day and hopefully they will go down xx

I've been trying to put them up all week but to put my feet up but then I get back ache. Oh well it's supposed to be about 10 degrees cooler by Thursday!

I'm sure you look beautiful!
