Well, my DW's been on iron tablets for the past 6 weeks and her iron levels have fallen to 9.9. We're now taking liquid iron, which is not difficult in this heat - everything's melting! I did tell her to ask the GP for anti diarrhoea tablets cos that's pretty much all she has had for the past few weeks... but she chose not to.

And then I read about Miss Money's birth story, and am now sat here wondering if the same thing is more likely - as a result of low iron levels. must... not... worry...!
    .

PLEASE DON'T WORRY! my iron count before birth was 10.4 after i bled i lost about 950ml... that seriously brings the count down. it wasnt the birth that did it. it was the hemorage and its rare to hemorage. please don't worry!!! xx

Ohhh I'm too hot. Been awake since 4.30 so thought stuff it and have come downstairs. It's much cooler down here. Will have to nap later to catch up on some sleep. Usually I can sleep like a log but what with the heat, baby kicking, constant need to pee, sun streaming through the blinds and a cat on my feet, it's a recipe for disaster!

    Morning all

It's going to be another hot one so look after yourselves. Here in the NW at least it will be getting cooler on Tuesday, hopefully it's the same elsewhere in the country.

I was awake early due to the usual hip ache. I'm super excited today as my bestest is coming to stay and we are off to see Rhod Gilbert :) :j It's been two years since we saw his last show and only a few comedians since then have had me in stitches as much! I am a little worried I may wee myself :o these pregnancy hormones have a tendency to turn me into a giggling idiot!

Hope you all have a lovely day and remember to drink lots :)

    xx

    Morning all!

Had a busy couple of days with work the last few days, so haven't had a chance to post.

Firstly, a huge CONGRATULATIONS to MissMoney and hope that your iron levels are on the up soon. Mabel is beautiful, and your other two girls are as well. Please to hear that Dan is being more loving since the birth.

Hugs for GemmaE - I hope that they manage to help your Nan soon so that's she isn't too uncomfortable.

Well after that horrible day on Wednesday, I had a lovely day on Thursday working in an assessment unit for children with speech and language difficulties who are being prepared to join mainstream school (the school they are attached to). I had 12 boys in the class aged from 6-10 and they were all so sweet! The staff there are really nice too, and I'm so glad that I had that nice day to wipe out the previous one. Then yesterday I was working in a nursery school with the 2+ year-olds and a couple of babies (one 7-month old girl, and a boy who was just over a year old). The babies were super cute, and the nice thing about going in the babies' room, is that it's air conditioned! :) It was a long day for me compared to what I'm used to though (8.45-5.45), especially as they didn't have any chairs in any of the rooms I was in, so I didn't get to sit down until 1.10pm! My back was killing me.

Moon managed to get a couple of loads of washing done yesterday whilst I was at work, so that's one less thing that I need to do today which is good. He also washed off my car when I got home, but had obviously overdone it with the sun exposure during the day, and ended up all weak and feeble (most unlike him), so I cooked the dinner for the first time in months! Luckily it was just those yummy mozzarella and pesto pizzas from Lidl (I bought them on the way home), and baked beans, so was nice and easy to prepare. I really fancy some salad for dinner tonight, but not sure what to put with it - will have to have a look in the shops, as when it's hot, my appetite goes down a bit, so I don't want anything too heavy. Will see if MrW has any posh flans on offer.

Well I'd better go and get some breakfast, as I've been up for an hour already, and I think Bean will start complaining if he's not fed soon. lol

Hugs for all who need or want them, labour vibes where appropriate, and stay cool vibes to everyone.

    sexymouse xx
Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.

Morning Emsbet :) Hello to everyone

I'm very happy - my wedding and engagement rings are safely off! :j Thanks to all you lovely ladies for advice on how to do it, in the end iced water and coco butter worked. I'll be honest, there were tears - and my finger looks and feels like its been burnt - but I'm so pleased now. And I would urge anyone whose fingers are starting to get puffy to take them off sooner rather than later - yesterday was such a stressful day! I shall be copying my lovely due date twins Cheetara and MrsBryan and wearing the rings on a necklace for now :)

Couple of things - eggs...I have poached eggs nearly every day! Couldn't be without them! I'm fairly relaxed about food (although I have missed pate like hell) because I figure as I stopped the most harmful thing - smoking :j - I wouldn't sweat too much about the much smaller things.

MrsBryan - your baby shower sounds lovely, you have obviously been spoiled and deservingly so :) Glad you are safely out of hospital now ikcle :)

OK so day one of 'operation proper rest' starts today. I will take puppy dog for a walk round the block very shortly before its too hot - DH can do an off lead run later with him :) I was going to meet a friend for lunch 30min drive away but part of 'operation proper rest' must involve me being realistic...and an hour driving today is not realistic. So I shall text her and see if she wants to come round to mine for a cup of tea instead - hope I'm not being too lame!

Have a lovely day and weekend all - take care xx

See, now I feel very lame for not wanting to drive for an hour today :p

You make sure you take care today - plenty of stops, air con and lots of water. Are the journey's essential?
