12wk scan. I've had three early miscarriages and my last ended as a missed miscarriage diagnosed at 12weeks, so it's a bit nail bitey...

oh... very best of luck to you darling.

I have had 2 early mcs and they were absolutely gutting. I never had a missed mc though.

I'll be thinking of you all day. xx Please let us know how you get on.

I am so sick of braxton hicks, they are uncomfortable and completely pointless for me as this baby is being born via the sunroof :o Been having them all day with no regularity so I am sure its not the start of something early, I just know they are doing my head in :(

(((hugs))) to Sexymouse, at least the agency were reasonable, Dep. Head sounds like a right interferring nitwit :o

    Good luck tomorrow Sa-ra-ra-ra

I don't feel sexy at all atm and am not sure OH particularly fancies medium sized hippos (which is how I feel)...

Rebekah not sure if this helps you:

To take maternity leave you should inform your employer no later than the end of the 15th week before the week the baby is due (or as soon as is reasonably practicable) that: you are pregnant; when the expected week of childbirth is; and when you want your maternity leave to start. Your employer must then let you know within 28 days, what date your maternity leave will end on.

Sounds like they have to contact you with regards to details within 28 days. How long has it been for you?

Ah ha!Damn good point!! I first gave my intent to take mat leave in MARCH. I changed this date in April giving them 28 days notice ...

good luck for tomorrow Sara-ra-ra, I'm lurking about the place and have been counting down with you :D. Got my "official" 12 week scan on Monday but had one at EPU this morning due to a bit of bleeding (and one 11 days ago, a private one at 9 weeks and one at 5w - this baby is going to turn me grey I swear!) and all fine :D. I've told them at EPU I'm not going back again as I've read all their massive stack of magazines, so a smooth, drama free pregnancy for me from here on in (yeah right!).

Glad to see my pals from TTC doing well, rooting for you all! x

sexymouse the school sounds a nightmare. But on the plus side, you'll never be there again! :D
I'm 24wks pregnant and aside from the fact I'm off because school tried to cook me yesterday, I spend a lot of time sat these days. I'm a secondary science teacher and unless I'm doing a practical, where I have to be on my feet to monitor stuff, I make the kids come to me now. I just couldn't get through the day otherwise. If work had a problem, I know exactly what I'd tell them to do with said problem.

Thats not to say I only sit, I'm up and about in morning lessons usually, but just can't do it in the afternoon anymore. Plus I eat in my lab, again, try and stop me!!!!!! Grrr...workplaces get my goat sometimes.

Is it just your feet that are swollen? Do you have the opportunity to raise them regularly throughout the day? If you do, does the swelling reduce? How are your face, hands and your lower back? Are they swollen too? When was your blood pressure last checked?

Do you itch anywhere else? General itching but particularly your palms and the soles of your feet can indicate obstetric cholestasis.

TBH, if I were you I'd probably give the midwife a ring today and not leave it until next week. Bear in mind I'm a bit of a hypochondriac though :D. But even so, better to err on the side of caution...

    Thanks Fluff

Its my hands and feet that are swollen - face is just fat :D I've spent all afternoon with my feet up - still red and very, very puffy. Last time blood pressure was checked was just under 3 weeks ago, totally fine. The itching has made me very miserable today :( (I haven't even bothered to get dressed and spend time in the lovely sunshine :o) and it hasn't got better so I will contact midwife tomorrow morning if its still like this. Cheers again :)
