Hope everything goes well Miss Money :)

twinklie I hope the doctor listened to your concerns and was able to help.

I'm feeling pleased with myself - I've been for a walk, had my blood test and best of all, I have completed my draft answers for question 1 and 2 of my OU assignment - within the word count! :)

Just taking a break before attempting question 3 though I'm expecting a delivery in the next hour so feeling a little distracted.

My OH came home for lunch which was lovely surprise. He normally works an hour away but has a placement at the local hospital for the day so is within walking distance (he chose a good day to be able to walk to work :D)

Well work have just rung, they want a meeting with me to discuss what is happening with me, why I am off sick and when I expect to go on maternity leave. They wanted to do the meeting in the next 3 weeks but they also said I need to have my MatB1 with me and I don't get that till 20th June so I've told them that and they've rung back and rearranged for the 27th. Now feeling a bit apprehensive as to what to expect, I don't want to be bullied or made to feel crap cos I've struggled during this pregnancy, does that make sense?
You never know how strong you are until being strong is the only choice you have.

    Huge congratulations LMMoney, fantastic news!

I hope noone is suffering to much in the heat, I managed to discover what acid reflux was this morning, but totally my fault for eating late then going straight to bed....

I saw a preview of What to Expect When you're expecting last night, and I thought it was great. Typical rom com, along the lines of Valentines Day and New Year's Eve, but all about pregnancy and babies... Didn't think it was DH's cup of tea so didn't tell him too much before we went, but he thought it was great, in particular the 'Daddy Club' (and shh... may have even shed a tear too!) So I totally recommend an Orange Wednesday / 40% off with o2 visit :)

Happy Wednesday everyone, and hugs to anyone who needs one today.

    xxxxx

Congrats, Miss_Money - 23rd is a good birthday to have and only one day past your due date?? hope we are that lucky! can't wait to see the pics and hope the pain stops somehow?!

Thanks for posting this rakkibeth, we found 2 cineworld vouchers and i finished uni early by jammily winging my presentation (not marked i think!?!) so i'd already said to hubby this am we should be seeing this tonight :D i don't like feeling too hot and uncomfortable so would prefer to be in air conditioning and i loved valentines day

emsbet, I'm probably just being naive/hopeful - i am now 12 stone and though 5' 9", chubby on top of bump i think! i would post a pic but have no memory on my phone...

prebaby moon sounds great, i want to go away! now uni is finishing this week, we move next friday and i will be doing as many shifts as possible to save up for baby and bills... ick.

I burnt my arm a few days ago on the oven. I left it but today it's looking a bit angry, probably because I knocked the scab yesterday. I went to put some antiseptic cream on and realised that the 2 tubes we have are out of date (the one DH had in a first aid kit expired in 1999! :rotfl:). Now I'm going to have to waddle down to the pharmacist to get some more *sigh*

Student mrs, I'm not far behind you in the weight stakes but I'm about 5 inches shorter than you! :o

Ikkle I'm pretty sure that they aren't allowed to call you to ask about sickness. Maybe seek some advice from labour relations agency.

Good luck for your birth MissMoney - pleased to hear it's all happening for you now, and hope it's not too hot where you live.

Happy birthday Student_Mrs - hope your presentation goes well too.

Lovely bump picture emsbet - my bump is nearly as big as yours and I'm a couple of weeks behind you, so hope that doesn't mean I'm giving birth to a 10lber!

twinklie I hope your doctor's appointment went well and that the heat isn't affecting you too badly again.

I've had a rubbish morning today at a school I've not been to before - the agency obviously forgot to tell them I was pregnant, so when I was asked if it was ok if I do 2 hours of PE this morning, I told them that it depended on what I had to do as I am 5.5months pregnant. They told me that I was to do gymnastics with them and get the children to get the mats out so I didn't have to lift them, and I said this was fine. Anyway, the deputy head (teacher telling me what I had to do today) went and told the head that I'd refused to do PE because I was pregnant, which wasn't the case at all! The Head also said that she'd seen me sitting down a lot (she walked through the classroom once when they were silent reading as it's one of those horrible open plan places) and that that wasn't teaching as far as she could tell - the other lessons had been reading a powerpoint whilst the children made notes for science (other than standing for this, what else did she expect me to do?), and a maths lesson where they had 2 worksheets to do - I gave a short input on how to do them, and then walked around the class every now and then when they needed help. First PE lesson had to be ended as they had QCA tests going on next door and it was too noisy, so they read silently (I had nothing else to give them, and they were only reading for 30 mins by the time they'd changed anyway) and second was cancelled and replaced with the science for the same reason. Anyway, the Head said that I wouldn't be needed for the afternoon and refused to sign my timesheet for the morning despite my trying to explain my side of the story (she didn't want to know as the deputy head outranks a mere supply teacher). I spoke to my agency and told them everything when I left and they said that they would pay me for the morning and I won't be sent to that school again. Agency also said not to take it to heart as they have loads of positive feedback from other schools about me, as well as ones that request me specifically, but I still can't help feeling a bit upset about it all. Still, on a plus side, at least I can do some washing and cool down a bit by changing into something more comfortable now I'm home.

Well sorry for the moan again.

Labour vibes for all who need or want them, pain relief vibes for those in labour and those suffering backache etc, and hugs for those feeling low.

    sexymouse xx

Miss Money, good luck, so exciting!!

Ikkle if you are worried speak to ACAS they will be able to confirm exactly what you are entitled to so you don't get flustered. Remember baby is the most important thing and work can go get stuffed if need be.

Really sticky here in London today too, didn't help that it is the first time in 8 months I have put work clothes on, all that would fit was my winter suit.

Meeting went well and confirmed that I will just continue with maternity leave, should get something in the post with all the details, but don't have to worry about going back to work any time soon :j

    Happy Birthday Student.

With regards to 'what to expect' film, random question are there any multiple births? It looked like there were on the poster and because of that I won't see it but would like to if there aren't. I know it is a weird request but still really raw for me.
