Hey ladies

labour vibes to all those that need them, there are quite a few boldies at the moment. i think if i go over my due date i will be going for accupressure/puncture to bring it on. have been recommended a midwife that does it locally.

OH is at his second daddy natal class tonight, he is learning about what happens after birth this time.

off on hols tomorrow, brussels/bruge via eurostar i am all packed, will be back and checking posts on monday.

7 weeks left at work from next week yay!!!

Congratulations LMM! What lovely news

Well I had a lush afternoon sitting in the sun reading my book on my new chair!

The carpenter finished off the last few bits and bobs in our loft today We also now have heating and running water up there so the plumber finished off today. Very exciting. Had a bit of drama though when he re-pressurised the system and a faulty connector caused water to pour through the ceiling downstairs! :eek: Luckily it was into the bathroom, and I heard the noise and got in there quick with buckets and towels! Hoping it dries out ok, and that the ceiling isn't damaged...

Well i'm up. Been tossing and turning for hours. Damn hips are pure agony tonight. Was ok from 1-4 and then taht was it. Every hour or 30 mins toss again. Sat up on pillow mountain (I lied to you all its 7 not 8!) and tried to sleep sitting up but it just wasn't happening so gave up and came down an hour ago. I'll probably nip back up around 10 or 11 and try again. Working from 530-730 today. As i'm part time I have odd holiday hours which involves a part day to use up. So i'll finish then instead of at 1030. Looks so nice out I might take a walk around the garden in my dressing gown lol. Not many people at up at this time of day right ;-)

I've called in work sick today. Yesterday, it was 24+ degrees in my room. I ended up having a funny turn, going all light headed and vomiting (kids were most concerned - I'm a science teacher).
Anyway, this was despite me trying to drink the North west dry and sitting with a fan pointed at me.
I went home, drank loads, had no real appetite (v rare for me) and slept a lot. Woke up this morning with really sore and dry eyes, feeling a bit yuck, thirsty, tired, and really sore lower legs/feet. So I think I'll ring to see the docs and just get checked over. Just don't feel quite right and want to know if I should consider going into work tomorrow or not.
I have a lung disease as well and dehydration sets that off. They said if I get another chest infection they'd admit me to hospital. I seriously don't want that to happen. Just feeling a bit sorry for myself I guess.

Oh Twinklie I hope you feel better. Best to get checked over especially as you have other health concerns.

Get some rest and drink lots of fluids (ice lollies help too )

I am off to meet my Manager, told HR a couple of weeks ago about the pregnancy and now have the official meeting with my manager to let her know too. Really really nervous although not sure why, they must have thought it might happen so don't think it will be a huge surprise.

I have my Matb1 for ready and off I go
