Missed it! Could you PM me the link, please?
PS My hair is straight and although I used to have an electric toothbrusth I didn't bother replacing it when it died a few years ago, and have a "normal" toothbrush now.

Re toothbrushes - I've had a couple of electric ones and have found that before too long the battery stops holding its charge properly (to be fair I have had ones from near the cheap end of the range). Now use one of those 'Pulsar' brushes that is somewhere between 'normal' and 'electric'.0 -
Oh my - just put the phone down on an unsolicited sales call (after explaining we weren't interested, they shouldn't have our number, registered with the TPS etc etc). The caller called straight back, said 'f*** you' and put the phone down on me!! How rude!0

I've run out of steam and am wandering room to room achieving nothing. Went out with some vintage clothes to see what the local shop would offer (if anything), nowhere to park and they were closed anyway (part-timers!). Then it's off to the 2nd hand furniture place to see if they buy stuff - limited access and there was a lorry delivering to a neighbouring business, so had to drive off.
Jobs not done. Deflated now. Lost my oomph of achievement.0 -

I notice we are now within 100 posts of NPT6. I don't know why but I feel in my bones that Nikki should get the honour of starting the new thread. Would anyone like to second her?
Yes, absolutely, as long as it isn't me.
I'd have a hard time coming up with a catchy thread title containing the word 'nice'0 -

I get these calls, I tend to be very naughty (but with a certain amount of right on my side as our number is also on TPS). I am afraid that I simply ask the caller to hold on, and then I either replace the receiver or just leave it on my desk whilst I get on with something else. If I leave the receiver off the hook, I usually shout 'just a sec' every minute or so. I regard it as a public service, like picking up litter. No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0 -

Tell me about it! I'll be pleased just getting something with 'nice', I'm not promising catchy.
Anyway, what am I doing posting? I'm cutting down my time to find something! :eek:0 -

I'm getting used to the calls (not sure which of my parents has been giving out the supposedly ex-directory TPS-registered number, but its definitely 'out there'), but I don't think there is any need to swear at me (I somehow managed not to swear at him). I think I upset him with the TPS thing as he kept on saying 'we just bought the number from somewhere' so I said that didn't mean they shouldn't check them. We were going round in circles so I hung up. I was doing him a favour really as there was zero chance of him getting any money.
We now have paper and pencil by the phone and I will be engaging in small talk to find out the company name etc then doing something like you mentioned - going to fetch someone and leaving phone off the hook or hanging up.
He didn't even know our name. People usually have a problem pronouncing it (so 'no-one here by that name'), or ask for my dad (guess he is prime suspect then!) - (dad and bro have same first name so I just ask which one they want to talk to without explaining).0
