I know almost 100% of the NP take the Daily Mail
SRSLY.... newspapers: what a waste of space/money. You pay about £320/year for the DM/MoS.... you have to earn close to £500 to have that much in your pocket post-tax. That money's better off spent on something else! Like pies....0 -
Thank you. This 'coach house' made my mum not speak to me (not pick up the phone, not reply to texts or emails) for a week - when I was a month away from moving back here to live. That was fun.
And still everyone else insists that is a coach house.
Could you take the link out of the bit I have quoted? If someone really wanted to I think they could work out where my bro works from my previous posts. Which I'm sure they wouldn't be bothered to, but still...
Edit - meant to quote chewy's post0 -

For an odd reason we used to get none of the dailies...unless left on a train:o but all of the sundays. We get nothing now. I miss sunday supplements sometimes, but i also see less i covet. I had a similar release from commercialism when i gave up the two ashion magazines i liked once. If i remember i buy a tatler with free sunglasses on it in the summer. Only for the glasses, i like to have plenty of sunglasses.0 -
Here it is, ...
Yes, those are the type that have been discussed a few times on MSE in recent years. What really p155es me off about them is that I am a lovely person potentially looking for a nicely-sized 2-bed detached house - and many new build developers bung these into their developments and call them a "detached house". No proper 2-bed houses for regular people, just these festering over-priced piles o sh1te.0 -
I feel you may never have made it to New Cross, Peckham, Penge, Lewisham, Catford, Forest Hill or many of the other pleasant spots to the South East of our great capital. My train has Air conditioning and being after 9 but before cheap time has seats, similarly my tube (no ac but seats and air to breathe. My station also spans the Thames which is great for views and keeps the temperature comfortable...but then that is all north of the river.
TBF you should never go south east ever ever ever ever, unless you're travelling to dulwich village in an armoured car. Although I had a couple of very funny nights in the venue at new cross when I was a bit younger. Normally my trains are airconned and I get a seat but they can be really hit and miss, some carriages are like a freezer and others like a sauna. Luck of the draw.0 -

I scan it online too - have noticed two main things.
The DM thinks it is in the US - random articles on US reality stars that have never been heard of before, I noticed they described Joely Richardson as an 'English actress', and loads of Americanised words. Its really really annoying.
Also the articles are soooo badly written. I could write in better English, and I don't call myself a writer. Often the photos are wrong (not the person mentioned in the caption but someone similar).
Still look at it though0 -
