Last message really was posted from my phone...and I have now got the giggles and am having to hide in the toilets at work.

May be I got too much sun at the weekend?
    I think....

Seeing as we're doing shopping requests...:)

My mum is after some... What can only be described as 'elasticated sleeves'. I think they are often sold abroad for cycling, playing golf, hiking etc to protect arms from the sun. I'm struggling to find them other than a) from South Korea via Ebay or b) one single UK seller. To complicate things further, ideally she would like some with 'fingerless gloves' at the end...

Was particularly thinking viva might have did ideas, but all suggestions gratefully received! :D

Fingerless gloves are easy ... if you want them knitted in wool. Milkmen and paper boys used to wear these. And market traders.

As for the sleeves.... never heard of them. Furren muck I say!!

Almost... Might be difficult to get on and off eg if walking to work. Also arthritic shoulders...

If I can work out how to add a link on my silly almost-new phone I'll show you what we've seen:

    http://www.ebay.co.uk/viewitem?itemId=260559655591&index=1&nav=WATCHING&nid=03215040485

Have altered the link from a mobile Web one so apologies if it doesn't work. Way above my talents to post a picture!

I have lived in Herts for a while (New Barnet)
    married to Catholic

Maybe the last bit will get me evicted from the NP thread as even monarchy can't marry catholics and Tony Blair waited until he was ex-PM before turning into one.

Evicted??? This is the NICE people thread.

For the record, my stats are:
    scientist - yes
    mushrooms - no
living in Herts - I spent 5 days in about 1995 staying with my brother in St Albans while commuting into London for a course, but suspect that doesn't count
married to Jew/Catholic - not married to anyone currently, & LNE was Methodist-turned-C-of-E
Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Point them to https://www.AtaLoss.org which does for bereavement support what MSE does for financial services, providing links to support organisations relevant to the circumstances of the loss & the local area. (Link permitted by forum team)
Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.
    :)
