So the archetypal NP is a scientist who loves mushrooms, lives in Herts, is married to a Jew and ... what have I missed out??

    scientist - no
    mushrooms - pass :)
I have lived in Herts for a while (New Barnet)
    married to Catholic

Maybe the last bit will get me evicted from the NP thread as even monarchy can't marry catholics and Tony Blair waited until he was ex-PM before turning into one.

He has a "proper" job that involves a lot of travelling.

I've got this business that i do part-time, that I run myself, but it was created by an idea he had that we both worked on to create the business. Then I built it up. The main overseas contact was a colleague of his years ago, so they chat at times. And he [STRIKE]provides useful advice[/STRIKE] meddles in it at times.

Which is me to a T.

But if I wanted to chat to solely like minded people I would be chatting on facebook not here. Beauty in the diversity.

I wondered about TB's timing, but I find it hard to believe that it would have mattered.
No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?

Charlie Kennedy and Ian Duncan Smith were catholics (and Scottish ones at that) leading the other parties at the same time as TB, so I don't think it could have mattered.

    I've been Money Tipped!
I remember quite a lot of quite evident anti catholic thpught when we first moved Westwards. One of the things that surprised me. In the churchyer areas. I don't know whether that has really softened, or whether its my impression that it has. Frankly, i think fewer and fewer people give a damn anyway, so finding those upset by it is harder. Also, out here, areas that have had a big polish influx have found the swing has been often more catholics attending services than anglicans. Notable is when the catholic service is held in the anglican church on a thursday, as happens sometimes in the areas where there is no caolic church left, and the catholics outnumber the anglican sunday attendance.

    What a nice weekend...we did !!!!!! all.
Spent most of the day yesterday at the banks of the Thames, coolbox filled with drinks, read the Sunday Times from front to back, took the doggy swimming, watched the boats pass by and snoozed in the grass. :)

    time travelling,
That'd be a good job. I'd like to travel back in time and just observe. Mostly I think based on having done the family history - and it'd be nice to time travel and get to know people that were around before I was born and get to the root of the family legends, secrets etc ... fill in the gaps.

Our (poor) town has a hairdressing course. I went for a terrible session their to have my hair done, and while the result was not good it was interesting to talk to the girls doing my hair. Few are hopefulof a job (they were the more advanced students so already able to work, only one in the year has one i was told) our town has lots of hairdressers as do the surrounding ones. Quantity of them is not an issue, quality is, i would not have those girls touch my hair again, nor one of the critters tbh.
If I used my typical travelling distance for the simplest of things round here (including maying a hairdressing course), then plotted that onto your life ... the area covered would include Bristol, where there's probably lots more opportunities .... and maybe a shop nearby with cheap champers, so you can have your cake and eat it (especially if there's a cake shop nearby too).
