One week post operation and I can walk without pain
Still on anti-inflamatories, but this is progress.
Went out for the first time today. Driven there and back, but out nevertheless. Costa for coffee.
Poor you. Have they given you an idea of timescale for recovery? Hope your oh is taking care of you!0 -

I feel quite positive that I have improved so much since Monday, Monday was the worst day.
Timescale for this sort of thing is 1-2 weeks. So I should be on the verge of recovering now. It was a shock because pre-op the recovery time was 2 days, until he realised he needed to do more.
OH has a work trip abroad from Monday:mad: Not his fault as we thought 11 days post op would be fine. As it is, I'm hoping i will feel well enough to drive by monday.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. Well, we're glad you're able to feel positive, and that you're making progress, but we still hope you feel properly better very soon.
There is a plant climbing up my fence with masses of enormous purple flowers. I have no idea what it is but I love it. I'll try to take a pic tomorrow and post it for the NP gardeners to identify for me.Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.0 -
Good luck silver. Hope you get better soon. I know you have tons of friends to help out, but if there's anything the NPs can do, especially us Herts ones, please say. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Well I'm sure you can't be that far from some other np, so you just need to ask if you need a hand with anything.I feel quite positive that I have improved so much since Monday, Monday was the worst day.

Still, it's now warm weather, so we've probably got the wrong type of sun.Home 1 hr late tonight thanks to First Capital Connect and only 15 mins sat on a hot stationary packed train and in a station rather than in the tunnel like the one behind so could have been worse...
Also 20 minutes late this morning thanks to signal failure on the very warm district line. remind me just why I love commuting so much...
I wonder which NP has the worst (longest) work journey?:)lostinrates wrote: »But i really fancy tandoori prawns. I could always make some dal of some sort instead....
Sorry about the delay. Not in the McGovern book but there are others in the series e.g Kris Dhillon's the Curry Secret.

I'm an aunt again....my sister in law gave birth about 45 minutes ago to an absolutely gorgeous little girl.We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.0 -
