I know we are not the same as having someone in the room with you, but I hope we can be better than nothing.
The trouble is, it ends up sharing too much. e.g. in a perfect world I could publish my full requirements and people could post "try this one" links openly ... but we all know that'd be TMI.

But if anybody wants to have a go .... county = Sarf Darzit. Date starting Fri 8th. Duration = roughly 2 weeks, end date non-specific, start date is absolute. 1 person. Secure/safe off road parking. Caravan, annexe, studio. No stairs. Ideal budget £150/week TOPS.

    :)

    PM anything that's a go-er.

Today (well yesterday technically as we are past midnight), marked 10 years to the day of when middle son got his diagnosis...it led to a reflective day on how things have changed since then.

James had me asking him questions tonight, he has an exam in the morning....not sure me and psychology go well together, I sit and argue with the books all night, although I did better at the questions than James did thanks to my reading of crime magazines (which according to his teacher and the blasted books, means I am a budding axe murderer but hey ho) and the years and years of having to lug myself up to various child psychology units for the boys...you get to work out what they are thinking after a while.

Edit - James is far too much like me though, his teacher made the awful mistake of saying that autistic people are mentally unstable, he didn't much like that view.
We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.

I am sure you guys and girls will have the best solution.

In buying a house with a massive garden I now have a massive dandelion problem.

What is the best way to get rid apart form digging each one out (too many for that)

Just the lawn? I'd use weed and feed. I don't believe in killing yourself and being organic for the lawn. But I have 70 foot of lawn (I say lawn, it's more meadow currently)

    Why bother?

Use the leaves for salad. You can eat the flowers too.

UNDOUBTEDLY the best way to get rid of the problem is for you to grow to like dandelions.

Our garden is full of the most amazing Forgetmenots, all of which arrived as weeds. My response was to plant some red tulips in amongst them. It looked gorgeous during the early spring, but a bit tired now. We'll yank them out in a couple of weeks.

I am just about to plant forgetmenots....brought over in a pot from olds garden. Its only a weed if you do not want it. Forgetmenots are lovely.

We have curved french windows, with curved glass. We've been here nearly 15 years now, and amazingly none of the children have smashed it.

That sounds gorgeous. I also love the michals style ones.

Based on what evidence? That makes me very angry. I hope the school deals with the teacher in a very firm manner. Google 'autism' and 'mental instability' and there's hardly a mention. Google 'genius' and the same and there's tons, but they'd readily fawn over child geniuses and wouldn't dream of saying something like that in class.

PS: we have autism in my family too, though not as immediate as yours.
