Mr Spirit is at an awards ceremony tonight. I will email him later to tell him about my evening....
Hello dear heart.
All well at home - dog walked, had smoked haddock for dinner. Lovely sitting in the garden. Spent the evening with diverse nice people. Had a bit of good news a single lady - an internet entrepreneur - is about to be joined by an Ivorian who is giving up everything for her, and have had some insider tips which may help if we want to take up betting on eurovision. DD has bought a Union Jack minidress for the Eurovision fancy dress party.
In law issues ripple the surface of life of one friend and another has returned after an absence due to lifes downs. The fair people have gone and the roads reopened; one lady here tonight has reminisced about her own such coloured pony.
Cars have been a common topic and many in their own way have a bangernomics approach . No one outing themselves as a gas guzzling petrol head.
Still in the garden, drinking mint tea. Little cat has popped out to join me.
Take care

Sounds idyllic although I am not sure about some of the company you keep...
We opened the new five fold patio door properly for the first time - very nice, DD2 commented that now the outside was part of the house too.Mr Spirit is at an awards ceremony tonight. I will email him later to tell him about my evening....

Ah, here's a bargain 16Gb memory stick for £5 same model as my current one which works fine!
I like those Kingston ones too. I just ordered 5 of the same but different.
I had around 40 cars between the age of 17-25. It's just what a couple of us did in those days. See a car for sale n buy it, run it a short while, wash it and sell it for more.
That all helped to give me a 28% deposit on my house which I bought when I was 24. Houses were cheaper then
The last few cars have been....
Audi A4 Avant 1.9TDI
BMW 530D
Mitsubishi Shogun Elegance 3.2D
And the current one is a white Hyundai Santa-fe elegance which I bought new the same time as silvercar got her new white car.
The worst out of those was by far the Mitsi. Cost a fortune on fuel, repairs, servicing. Was slow, unresponsive and going round bends felt like turning on a plate of jelly, it had to go!
Loving the (well researched) Santa-fe though.
How many miles have you done now silvercar? I'm at 6.5k though I have done around 1K in the last 2 weeks.0 -

A massive rabbit.
Our dandelion crop is doing well this year too. I tried using one of those tools that twists out broad leaved weeds. Garden looks like a crazy pitch and putt.0 -

Audi A4 Avant 1.9TDI (Had an A6 on a ’56’ plate)
BMW 530D (Got a ’10’ plate 535d, departing out company tomorrow for an XF Sportbrake demonstrator)
Mitsubishi Shogun Elegance 3.2D (After seeing Essex Police roll one, I’d never have one)

I got mine last September, and now everyone seems to be buying white cars
And 1k in 2 weeks is absolutely nothing! My S-Max has 58k in just under 9 months 💙💛 💔0 -

I think you could get "weed n feed" that may do away with them. Just realise you will almost be able to watch your grass grow, much mowing required.
You can get spot weed killer spray for them too but the real way is to dig them up and get all the root out
Maybe Dave will come up with a good solution.0 -

Silvercar and myself both got white cars on the first of Sep too. I think they were in fashion by then.
Does that include work miles? I have a van for my work and the car is just for domestic dutys0 -
I got my (white) car 7.11.2010.
So I've now owned it for 18 months and done 7000 miles.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards.
