My friends toddler is talking more and more now. Today he decided to say my name. Apparantly i am called booby. Either that or was not saying my name but pointing out the obvious attributes.

There is a bidding war going on next door. :(
Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Point them to https://www.AtaLoss.org which does for bereavement support what MSE does for financial services, providing links to support organisations relevant to the circumstances of the loss & the local area. (Link permitted by forum team)
Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.
    :)

    I worked hard.... clearly.

It's a good sized house on a good plot, in a good location. It wasn't to my personal taste, but everybody I spoke to said it was a fab house and they'd like to have been in a position to buy it ......

So ... clearly I worked hard and it was choices I made that made me successful.

Nothing at all, of course, to do with luck :)

Anybody who hasn't sold their house before it gets onto the market isn't working hard enough and they only have themselves to blame for not being winners.

    Clearly.

Sounds like a perfect time to book a weekend break.... it's half term in a week too isn't it. I'd go away, and leave the mobile at home, if I were you.

You do know this is something you can't win don't you. Whoever gets it you'll always be wrong in somebody's eyes.

It occurred to me that potentially we could have a bidding war on our hands if I didn't pull it from the market.... but I didn't want to play games, or risk my bird in the hand.

Unfortunately for you, pheasant is in season for another month IIRC.

Nope, it's the same as partridge: Feb 1st. :D I'll not be safe for a few days yet though. Many bangs in the vale yesterday.

Hm... Given Davesnave's location, I'd guess some of the pheasants are obtained using Danny's grandpa's method no 2, and that method is never out of season.

You're right, but those won't reach me. ;) I just get the ones the toffs don't want to be bothered with.
