Thank god that awful red twadge face didn't win.
He's blaming the BBC for bias for him losing that is absolutely hilarious.0 -
Does anyone have any tips on de-cluttering as the house has now reached that point where it is impossible to even decide where to start.
No tips to pass on, but you have described my house. I am going to have to get a friend or friends to help me - it's too overwhelming for me to deal with on my own (well, not so much on my own as with resistance and obstruction from DS and DD).Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Point them to https://www.AtaLoss.org which does for bereavement support what MSE does for financial services, providing links to support organisations relevant to the circumstances of the loss & the local area. Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.0 -
Waiting to see if Boris beats Ken and wondering why it is taking them so long to work out the result. If they have scanned all the voting papers, surely the computer should just give the answer?
It seems that they put two boxes of ballot papers that the machine couldn't read under a table somewhere and forgot to do the manual count.0 -
Following on from Viva's alzheimers story, read this & recoil in horror: http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/news/4294838/Tanning-mad-mum-arrested-over-claims-she-allowed-daughter-to-suffer-burns-at-salon.htmlIt's getting harder & harder to keep the government in the manner to which they have become accustomed.0

1] How come the London mayor's everywhere, you don't see my mayor on the telly?
2] How come Londoners picked such a tw4t?
Come to think of it .... I am not aware that we vote for our Mayor.... no idea how it works really though.
1] because there are more people in London and the London mayor has some sort of power.
2] because he isn't ken livingstone. It was a choice between a buffoon and a sinister hypocrite.
Normally a council mayor is a local councillor who is elected by the other local councillors to act as chairman of the council.
NB/. London has two mayors, the other is the Lord Mayor who is a ceremonial figurehead can't remember how he is chosen or what he does.0 -
The high winds recently blew my greenhouse over. So I lost everything - peas, carrots, beetroot, lettuce, tomatoes.
After about a week I managed to get out there & fixed it. I've now replanted everything & will now spend 4 weeks looking daily at trays of mud grumbling that nothing has grown. I thought I'd got past that stage this year! It's getting harder & harder to keep the government in the manner to which they have become accustomed.0 -
I like most sports & will watch almost any sport on tv. That said, I think GBD had it right when he said playing sport is far more fun than watching. I'd rather be playing than watching.
I occasionally play golf. I cannot for the life of me figure out why anyone would watch it on tv or even go to the course to watch it though! It's getting harder & harder to keep the government in the manner to which they have become accustomed.0 -
Was supposed to go & see Rich Hall last night, & wasn't able to go...:(It's getting harder & harder to keep the government in the manner to which they have become accustomed.0
