After about a week I managed to get out there & fixed it. I've now replanted everything & will now spend 4 weeks looking daily at trays of mud grumbling that nothing has grown. I thought I'd got past that stage this year!
There's a stall in Bromsgrove next Saturday where you can buy and swap extra seedlings that people have grown. If it's anywhere near as cheap as the vegetables they sell, it would be worth going.Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

Ha, at last, got as much of the paint off our window as i think is going to come off. I don't mind that its a bit patchy. I am going for a sort of delapidated chic. More of a concern are the bits where the stone frame has cradked and been repaired with plaster. I wou
D not have thpight that was strong enough. I might stiple over theaster with a stone coloured paint to blend it in a little, but that is a winter job.
Right now i am taking a brake from trying to work out how a steam cleaner works. I cannot change the nozzle, and i am eager to get all the muck out of the crevices, i might get a coat of paint on the woodwork later at this rate, which is very excting to me!0 -
Has anyone seen the new Rhod Gilbert show? It's coming to St Albans later in the year and he's one of my favourite comedians. Would like to get tix if recommended. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? OMG, I love my steam cleaner. It's the best thing ever. I think some people own cars that cost less less it's magical. Proper clean. Don't have any bathroom opinions yet, I'm on my way out and didn't take it all in.
I think I'm going to write a blog post about why I don't like down-lighters.Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

Did you get the note i sent over your contact form?
I have read so much good about steam cleaners but i am not getting great results. This is just a little vax machine, i thought it would get all the gunk from the crevices, but its not really.0 -
Not every ones choice of 'finish' i know. We can change our minds in the future. Decided not to paint the woodwork because i will want to do more cleaning up in a while, i know.0 -

I have been painting my woodwork today. It looks like I need yet another coat of acrylic undercoat to cover up the bl**dy awful orange skirting boards.
Your windows look lovely lir. Full of character. My house may be newer, warm and functional, but it has no character whatsoever. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? I think any house, any home, can be full of character, so long as it reflects those who live in it. my idea of hell would be to turn the wreck into a nameless faceless but beautiful home. I like my funny sparkly corner with my jwellry in it, its totally worng for an adult georgian home, but its totally RiGhT for dh and my bedroom. It looks even better now we have properly decrepid windows, not just manky ones loing like they need a repaint.0
