I have read so much good about steam cleaners but i am not getting great results. This is just a little vax machine, i thought it would get all the gunk from the crevices, but its not really.
Ah, I've just worked out why no one replies to me. I'm sending replies back to the website and not the place it came from  I didn't realise it had come through there as I saw the email address. :wall:
Yes I did and I did reply to the wrong place and thankyou! I'm not at home, I can't forward my reply but it was a bit waffly, and excitedEverything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

Saturday night ... 7pm ..... top/popular seaside resort famed for pumping crowds and mayhem ...... took my life in my hands to go grab a chinese and .... totally crossed all roads without even having to look because IT'S DESERTED OUT THERE!!!!
The road I had to cross is the main road through - and usually busy, busy, busy, at a standstill ... chokka .... and people speeding in spurts to 'impress' .... nothing. Nobody.
Vivre La Recession. I can cross roads, no queue for the chinese, no queue in Aldi. Joyous0 -

never know, it might all come to nothing, but imo worth us all seeing if it does.
We have a very strong policy of running everything though any professionals we pay. Why have a dog and do your own barking?as such, this is not our decision but the professional involved in thr thing.
Done my neck in now. Trying to tie fake flowers in sparkly corner. I have had my arms working above me for too long today. Blooking forward to a bath and i would like it if there were a film on tv. Bet there is not though0 -
Just got interrupted by the !!!!!!!' doorbell going ..... 'olidaymakers ... the noisy boys on ball retrieval request. I had to go out to the back and lob over two tennis balls, a football and a !!!!!!!' frisby.0

There are usually a few films on iplayer, I would probably steer clear of 'Tsotsi' which we watched last night. Was very close to home for us toolostinrates wrote: »never know, it might all come to nothing, but imo worth us all seeing if it does.

Not every ones choice of 'finish' i know. We can change our minds in the future. Decided not to paint the woodwork because i will want to do more cleaning up in a while, i know.
Two questions:
Are you using a hot air paint stripper, LIR? If so, does it work on stone, or does that soak up all the heat?
I would be concerned that old paint (and some of this is bound to be very old) contains lead. Do you take all the recommended precautions?

The hot air stripper worked excellently in that one today, did tyhe whole frame. I spent as long On the other stone one some months ago and did an inch. Will go back to that other one when muscles allow to see if it is a genuine difference. I thought it a good inside winter job, but proved not to be.
I am positive there is a good chance our paint contains lead. The precautions i take are not to roll around in it, eat it, nuzzle against it or other wise engage in lesser recognised paint based fetishes. I also open a window. I accept he risks are real but i am indestructable....:D0 -
