How do no book flights? I tend to go easyjet because its simple on the website :o but have acknowledged i need to start travelling better if i travel again, and expect to walk at the other end.

And buy really good flight socks.

To be able to search by four or five star ranked airlines would be very good,

That site is more about ranking airlines on service than booking flights.

It's more relevant for long haul mostly.

Easyjet are good for a budget airline on short flights :)

Yes, i saw that, :) but to book with one, do you have to trawl through each individual airlines website? Or stick withan airline? Or use a booking site?

For me comfort and service have become short haul necessity. I might even have to get ne of those buggies next time:o:eek:

OT, I just heard the McCanns on the radio being discussed about their daughter Maddy being missing.

It crossed my mind how galling it must be that if you're in the extreme situation of losing a family member, finding that the one agency that could help you track them down, instead focusses all their efforts and attention on you and wastes time putting you through even more hell, when you're the one person who you know doesn't have any information and isn't to blame.

That's hardly a limit to be noted.... I was on 1-2 per year. Currently, without having a fixed abode, I've upped my takeaway intake to about one a fortnight, for the indulgence/luxury/convenience of it all.

Michaels, Quidco states: "Cashback deals — At Quidco we’re proud that our members are paid 100% of the commission we receive from retailers. Whether it’s a fixed cash sum or a percentage of the purchase price we aim to credit your account as quickly as possible."

How do they reconcile that statement with the business model that you have outlined?
No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?

Maybe the devil's in the detail .... is an insurance company a retailer, or a service provider?

Maybe they pass on 100% .... but they're then paid a volume bonus.

    He's already answered that:

The cashback sites model is that rather than the commission going to a search site it can go straight back to the purchaser (less a small cut to run the cashback site). The level of cut varies, some sites pay in 'points' or similar to the exact commission payment is hard to ascertain. Others pay cash, some offering '100%' of commission refunded (they still make a profit as they earn bonus commission for reaching higher levels of transactions). The two main players are quidco (£5 annual fee payable only if you make more than £5 in each year) and topcashback (free).

Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.

The board is having another strange night. Things haven't been the same since the Sock Shop closed down and its merchandise escaped its boundaries.

I don't watch the Apprentice. Sorry. I've just finished watching Andrea Bocelli in concert on Sky Arts followed by Hawaii Five 0 from the weekend.

I was listening to local radio tonight and heard about this story. Made me really angry, actually scratch that, it made me absolutely f*ing furious. I can't believe it hasn't been more widely covered:
