Where did zagubov come from zag? Is it really from zig n zag? :)

Interesting- I'd never really thought of them.

    That's the same here.

Used this on another website where I needed a username that was neutral on nationality / gender / age/ location and wasn't a real word. If you google it all you get is me ( I think) .

Does sound slavic though as CK has pointed out, and I do have Bulgarian and Polish friends and like music from the East, but have never travelled east of Yugoslavia (which I like a lot).

Thank you very much LIR Viva and SSS, for some much needed perspective.

I'll have a chat with her tomorrow and see if she wants to renegotiate ground rules - I am lucky to have her as a lodger so need to keep that in mind and be flexible.

Thats key. If she is good in otherways, i would Personally be forgiving.

    I want a lodger very much. :(

Cooking disater tonight. Trying two new recipes. First was rick stein's and fine, we liked it though i would make changes for our palatte next time, and the second was the most delicious sort of grown up version of nursery food looking thing called sweet dumplings.

Dog dog and big dog like them, so not a total waste. They did not taste good at all, but like globs of undercooked pancake mixture, like the first sacrificial pancake. I like stodge but, big globs of dough is puching even me. The 'sauce' was like baby puke smells, so i refused to even try it. Dh suggested we keep the dumplings for soup. Which is probably the mark of a failed pudding, if it can be used in a savoury meal instead! So disappointing, i am looking at the whole of the beautiful book with mistrust now, maybe there was a reason there were copies of it in the clearence bin at superbook!

They really have shot themselves in the foot. It's probably the most open and interesting season for years. We've had four different winners, no team is dominant and unusually we've had four interesting races. Still, the beeb will be at the next race, which is often one of the more boring ones...

What's the sky coverage like? Do they go to ads during the race? Is the commentary/pundit team any use?

The BBC one just seems to consist of rubbish about Eddie Jordan's stupid dress sense which annoys me immensely. I also find coulthard incredibly annoying- you'd think he was a quadruple world champion the way he carries on.

In a similar way to zag, I wanted a name different from my other things online and totally neutral. I've had 3 MSE user names but only to separate different personal data from each other.

The first name was one I used on other sites so I changed it when I was looking for some personal (endowment) advice as I didn't think it was other peoples business. Edinvestor was a good help and I was sad to hear she had passed away.
The current name again was to protect my identity (didn't work) and is the only name I have used in this board. I liked it here so hung around.

My username has nothing to do with me other than I thought it may be a cool number plate and a couple of other reasons. I once got a PM from someone saying they seen that number on a car and wondered if it was me. I'm not that person nor would I buy the plate now :)

The race coverage itself is very similar to what the old Beeb coverage was like, but when Brundle was paired with Ledyard rather than with Coulthard. There are no ads at all during the race so in that respect it is a very similar experience. I've checked out both in the races so far and there's not much between Brundle and Coulthard, not much between Croft and Edwards. The big danger is that Coulthard gets tempted over to Sky at the end of his contract, that would be the big blow.

The big difference is in the other coverage. Because F1 on Sky has its own TV channel, the programme starts earlier and finishes later. It probably lasts 5-6 hours in total, but I don't watch all of it. The before and after bits do have ads in, but not masses and they don't interfere with the important stuff, such as the pitlane walkabout and the post-race conference.

What I particularly like about the Sky coverage is that they talk to all the teams. So you don't just get a bit on McLaren, Ferrari and Red Bull, as you did with the Beeb, they'll talk to Caterham, Sauber, Force India etc. You get a much fuller picture of the aims and objectives of each team. The Sky team - which I still think has some developing to do - has some really good people on it. Brundle, obviously, but also Damon Hill, Johnny Herbert and my hometown boy Ant Davidson. Simon Lazenby plays the Jake Humphreys role and does a good job of it. Ted Kravitz has also reprised his old Beeb role of race time reporter from the pits. I can't stand Natalie Pinkham though.

It's very much gone the same way as football, with hardcore fans having to bite the bullet, whereas people who like F1 but are happy watching highlights staying with the Beeb. Do you think you might give it a shot?

Well I certainly wouldn't get sky sports just to watch f1 but I'm getting close to the point where there is so much on there that I do want to watch (cricket mainly) that I might get it. We have sky already, and I'm tempted to swap sky movies for sky sports, as we rarely watch sky movies.

What is stopping me at the moment is that we don't pay for HD and it really makes a difference for sport so if I upgraded to sky sports I would probably have to upgrade to HD as well.

Speaking of Russia, I’ve just found my 2006 Junior Eurovision camera, and various shots have appeared on Facebook.

Btw, does anyone know why they’ve limited each album to 200 photos (I know it used to be 60). I’ve got about 12 albums of roughly the same thing now

Do you get F1 on the sky go app?

I'm not too bothered and watching it at 5 was fine other than having to dodge the results online.

If you have Sky HD you don't need to pay (currently) for F1 on Sky, it's if you want to watch other stuff that you get stiffed (DH watches American Football). If you haven't already gone HD, it's worth paying the extra (it was about £40) and get a terabyte box. The amount of storage it has compared to standard is staggering. You don't have that scrabble around to delete stuff in order to record something space-intensive.
