how one of their accountants reduced my VAT liability to double figures legally.

I’m expecting HMRC to come knocking pretty soon........
He advised you to eat Jaffa cakes instead of iced fancies with your afternoon tea meetings as they are 0% VAT instead of 20%.

This online malarky's not having a good week.... 1p up to 11am this morning ... now it's 14p. On the up-side, I could say I've increased my earnings 14-fold this morning through my endeavours.

Still about 6 months short of having caught up what I didn't do in the past year though..... lot of catching up to do.

Once I move, might get a "proper job" - like selling ice creams - to make regular cash while I rebuild.

Six degrees of separation & all that! ;)
Looking at the amateur family tree I've been building .... I think the 6 degrees could be just in one's own family. One of my 1st cousins alone has 20 grand kids... TWENTY!!! No wonder there's a ferkin shortage of houses - people like her and her kids popping them out for the past 30 years.

    Sheesh.... TWENTY!!!!

Sorry dave. I have no idea who she is.

ETA, just googled again, don't know why her pic didn't come up last time. Now she's no 1. Still don't want to be Kirsty, or Carol Vorderman. Joan Bakewell's formidable but a bit older than I'd like to portray. I don't want to look like a BBC newsreader. It's all a bit stereotypical really. Maybe I should just put up a picture of JLo who I do genuinely think is the most beautiful looking woman and be done with it. After all, on the internet, nobody looks anything like their avatar - even when its a picture of them - so I might as well aim high.
Go old school - Felicity Kendall.

Could leave the stumps at about 8' quite happily. Part of the cost must be schlepping the wood 200' up the garden and taking it away. Side walkway is standard 3' width and no other exit.
Top it with something covered in 0.5mm copper .... for an organic look garden table.

Another frost again here this morning. I have yet to wander down and see how the veg coped.

Frosts forecast for the next couple of days at least too.

Rain & wind forecast for next week.

I want to get all these plants back outside!
It's getting harder & harder to keep the government in the manner to which they have become accustomed.

Have got the data from the bloke next door. Results are very similar, but my Hyundais are outperforming his Sanyos by about 5%. Inverters are both the same kind, roofs are identical in pitch and orientation, weather should be almost identical - only a few metres apart. Still, that's only for a few weeks in January for which he's given me the data. One of the advantages of the Sanyos is that they're supposed to have less of a drop in performance when they get hot, so maybe his will outperform mine in the summer.
Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Point them to https://www.AtaLoss.org which does for bereavement support what MSE does for financial services, providing links to support organisations relevant to the circumstances of the loss & the local area. (Link permitted by forum team)
Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.

Gosh, that is interesting. It would be an excellent if complicated thread if put in a table on the envionmentally friendly board...cannot remember what that is called, to help other buyers make a decision and allow other peopleto add data to make a really good resource

But don't know if such a respurce would be possible within the forum set up....
