Well, I ended up being called but not by the school. Dad needed to go up town to do something and mum's hips have been playing her up, so I was called into action....mind you, I ventured into a posh ladies shop while I was waiting for dad to finish what he needed to do and managed to pick up a smart skirt suitable for interviews/school meetings, reduced down from £79 to a tenner....and even better, dad treated me to it for running him and mum around at the drop of a hat! (I paid for it, he then slipped a tenner into my handbag while I was driving without me knowing, was a lovely, if slightly confusing, surprise to find when I next opened my bag)We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.0 -
