I can honestly say I didn't like the look of any of them.

I noticed the copper one has a strange bottom, that might solve LIR's problem of wishing to sit upright and read books.

A bath is just for washing really .... I'd rather have the money in the bank and feel 'safe' that I could afford to live somewhere and not have bailiffs at the door.

No, no, i like to lie down and read. And just to soak really. One of the problems we have is that the baths we like the look of are all the ones that seem to command a fairly upright position, where as we want one we can both sit in and sit up a bit or one person can hunker down with a book in.

I like quite a few of those bathrooms. Not the cow. I have always loved sunken baths with french doors to out side ( think was in spired by a terence conrad book in childhood there) but not possible here. If we move to a bungalow it would be a must.

silly question, i need to lose about a stone but i am dead lazy. I love to eat and hate exercise.

Does anyone think joining a gym with personal trainer for 3 months would be helpful?

Grey hair is the mark of a winner. I know this as I got my first grey at 18, and was completely grey by 30 which should make you feel better. Now my stubble has started to turn grey and I am getting the odd grey chest hair as well. I don't let my hair get longer than about an inch because any longer than that and it starts to reflect more light than a highly polished mirror.

When I was a kid, one day I saw my dad about to go off to work wearing a tie I hadn't seen before. I asked him if it was a new one, but he said he'd had it for years. This happened with several other ties over the next few days, until eventually I asked what was going on. He explained, "When I grew my beard, it grew gingerish, so I stopped wearing any of my ties that had any red or burgundy in the pattern. Now my beard is completely grey I can wear those ties again." He'd had the beard for about 15 years at that point, I think.
Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Point them to https://www.AtaLoss.org which does for bereavement support what MSE does for financial services, providing links to support organisations relevant to the circumstances of the loss & the local area. (Link permitted by forum team)
Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.
    :)

:D I get REALLY cranky when I'm hungry. Realistically, I need to do more rather than eat less. :(

It's raining. It's only just started. I should go to the shop and see if they've still got those books for sale. 3 for £1.50 they were ... and I want a set of 5 they had. Wish I'd had the confidence when I saw them last week to grab them.... somebody else probably has by now.

Imo a trainer is a great thing. I miss having one.

Probably cheaper than the gym for a short term real fix too, because the gym would probably sign you in for a year, then you will need to use a trainer both to help find a great work out for YOU.

But there are a lot of (snigger) ' also ran' trainers about, and fewer good ones.

My friend did it and it totally worked! They'd meet on Clapham Common.

Don't know which bit you're in but I could recommend a lovely lady, she's freelance, works at lots of Virgin Actives around South and Central London, but like LIR said, if you can find the trainer without the gym, it's more MSE.
