For anyone that was a fan of Kseniya Simonova (sand artist), take a look at this which appeared on Nichieri (Georgia’s got Talent) last week.
Wow. That was amazing. The symbolism was outstanding, sort of like a sandpainted Guernica. She is so clever. The only thing is that she wrote something in Georgian at the end and I wondered what it was. Looked too long to be a signature! Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Yeah, I know, but it gives me a chance for some swoonish thoughts...
BTW.... of the 20 Brits in the audience
10 took the US test and 8 passed
10 took the Life in the UK test and 3 passedPlease stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? What is a Guernica?
It's like Rolf Harris with sand.
I love actual sand sculptures.... never actually seen one in real life yet though,0 -
Phil Spencer, Down Under... "how did life work out for the £10 poms".
He's a very awkward presenter.... doing the job because of his connections, not his talent. And I find in his AUS programmes it's all a bit lacking in any real content or insight .... and it's painful to watch as he comes over as quite dim really.
He also seems to wander into "personal thoughts" land, which is bizarre. One week, for example, slap bang in the middle of the relocation/AUS programme he went to the mountain his grandfather ran off to when he abandoned his grandmother - and spoke to some people who liked his grandfather .... and felt all smug about that. Very odd.0 -

I'd like to see that as I was a £10 pom (well my parents were I was a free pom) and my family who are still there were either £10 poms or descended from £10 poms. I shall watch that on +1. Cheers Pastures, great spot!
The sand painting recalled the conflict a short while ago between Georgia and Russia. When I said it reminded me of the Guernica, it is because Picasso did a painting called the Guernica which recalled a significant event in the Spanish Civil War. It is absolutely massive though (as opposed to the sand painting) and is classed as one of the greatest modern paintings of all time. I felt that the sand painting and the way the images developed evoked some of the same emotions as the Guernica. However art gets different responses from different people. I look at some other things and think they are total b*llocks. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? I just checked... I just put 1/8th of a mile as I had no idea really. So I just used an online tool to get a rough idea. It turns out they were about 250 metres away (look at me being all posh). Of course, 250 metres means nothing to me, so I thought I should compare that to 1/8th of a mile and it's 0.1553 of a mile... which is closer to 1/6th of a mile. Wasn't on full zoom either.
Not a pricey camera... bought it in 2006 and it's a Kodak. Darned nuisance though. I hate carrying a camera, I have slopey shoulders so it won't stay on my shoulder - and if I hang it round my neck and walk the whole camera bounces around as it continually bounced on the strap from boob to boob. Tried slinging it over my neck and through one arm, but then I get tangled up in my jacket - and I can't have it inside the jacket or the jacket doesn't shut. And that's why I hate cameras ....0 -

SRSLY ... how can anybody, for example, call a red square with a blue line across it "art"? If I take a sheet of paper, paint my bum and sit on the paper .... how could that be "art"? It can't.... it's fraud of the highest order most of the time.0 -

I’ve been greying since I was 26 , and have coincidently forgotten what colour my hair really is.
It’s this colour currently, although can’t vouch for it staying like that!

It's also very awkward and cringeworthy at time, containing lines such as "I think I peaked too early .... which is a problem according to my wife" and "size matters".
This guy's really not got it at all has he.... it's just a freebie trip for him, keeping his head low while his UK financial ruin is buried.0
