Lovely weather. I'm having to fight the urge to go look at the peppers on the windowsill/all the other seeds in the greenhouse. I only planted them a week and a half ago, so nothing will have sprouted yet, & I'm trying to avoid the overwhelming disappointment/anticlimax I'd get from seeing nowt had happened...

This morning i had 18 sweet peas. Now i have thirty:j

Nobody is really blaming you for leaving the passport in the jeans

Who is to blame then? It's his jeans, his passport, his crumpled mess.
    :cheesy:

Lovely weather indeed. Off to the Red Lion for a couple of pints at lunch, will be a very unproductive afternoon...

On the thing we must not discuss, I bought this:

Practically the only thing I have been able to do recently is read. I will get around to updating a recently read books list when I have a bit more strength...
It's getting harder & harder to keep the government in the manner to which they have become accustomed.

People make mistakes. Apportioning blame isn't usually the point, unless things were deliberate, or grossly negligent. Forgetting to take your passport out of your jeans pocket isn't either. Nor is forgetting to check pockets when you put a wash in.

Weather beautiful here too. Off round next door to help my friends paint their new house. :)
Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Point them to https://www.AtaLoss.org which does for bereavement support what MSE does for financial services, providing links to support organisations relevant to the circumstances of the loss & the local area. (Link permitted by forum team)
Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.

this goes to the heart of the matter. it's mine, mine, mine. what is she doing interfering with my carefully laid out passport storage plans in the first place?

(p.s. lydia - once is carelessness, twice is gross misconduct).

DS1 arrives home from uni yesterday. With a small suitcase of washing that all needed to be washed, dried and ironed by today!!!!!

Since arriving home yesterday and leaving for a trip abroad today he has lost his passport 3 times! He's gone now :( with passport, laundered clothes and money. Due home next Wednesday with same suitcase and clothes that will again need attention within 24 hours before he heads back up north.

For reasons that were never made clear, when my brothers came home from uni my mum took all their washing off them and did it for them, but when I came home from uni I used my parents' washing machine myself.

OH has a theory that if you treat people nicely you can often get them to break all sorts of rules. So his answer to any problem is to first try to sweet talk people round. Sweet talking tasks this week including an online (cheap deal) MOT booked that had to be moved to a different branch of kwikfit and the date brought forward.

Then today I needed to load cash onto a pre-paid card but didn't have my passport with me for ID and managed to get it done with the promise that i will bring the passport in later.

    Sounds sensible to me silvercar!

Also, if you are nice initially, if you need a bullet they aren't expecting it, so they get it right between the eyes.

    Anyway....

Its so hot outside, so i thought i would check the temp in my kitchen tobe study and its still only twn degrees in there! Tomorrow i will try and remember to open the windows first thing to get some warm outside air moving inwards.
