Since we have to go through separate immigration queues, that would be unwise!

But surely you were not going through immigration undressed? Passport in pocket for immigration, not when jeans on floor.....

Stop trying to invent ways in which it is reasonable to wash my passport!

    Made my day.
Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Point them to https://www.AtaLoss.org which does for bereavement support what MSE does for financial services, providing links to support organisations relevant to the circumstances of the loss & the local area. (Link permitted by forum team)
Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.

Ha ha!! The trouble with this theory is the first time it happened was just off a flight back to the uk from Australia, and the second time it was the other way around.

It's like a summer's day here, standing out in the sun at the moment, boiling!

    Its beautiful, isn't it?

We might set the paddling pool up this weekend, before a hosepipe ban.

I don't think we could fit a paddling pool on our balcony unfortunately :( might be able to get a large terracotta plant pot out there, fill it with water and just sit in it, but I have a feeling we might get complaints from the primary school whose entrance our balcony overlooks.

Our flat has a large south facing glass wall, it will be like a furnace in there by lunchtime!

You should do what dh did and set up a pool in the flat. Mmmm, might be a bit heavy if not on ground floor!

Could work. We are first floor but it is solid hardwood and then concrete floor a total of about a metre thick underneath us, so I reckon it could take the weight without any worries.

I'm not sure that the idea would receive a majority of eligible votes though!
