A friend of his has the same thing......his wife and i both think its batty.
He sees you as a bit of a dirty girl and his bit of rough0 -
Talking of "bit of rough", I saw some headline yesterday where Tulisa (some rap band girl who was a judge on X Factor) had tweeted that her new bf was her bit of rough.
SRSLY .... if you've seen Tulisa, lovely as she is, pretty as she is ... once she opens her mouth that accent smacks of "bit of rough".0 -
I don't care much about shoes or handbags, jewellery and nails are my thing.
Jewellery for me. I've got a small amount of real stuff, and a fair amount of cheapy everyday things - necklaces & earrings mostly. I don't feel fully dressed for work without them, and I always make sure the colours are right for my clothes. I'm rather utilitarian about shoes and handbags, although I do like leather for both so they wear longer, and I keep getting the shoes reheeled and resoled until they're beyond possible repair.Do you all paint your toenails?
Only in summer. In winter my toes aren't seen by anyone but me, my kids and possibly the hamster, so I don't bother. A year or two ago I bought purple flip-flops and found every single nail varnish colour I had (not many but all pinks or reds) clashed horribly. I bought pale purple nail varnish to go with the flip-flops and it became my favourite. It's the only one of mine that DD is absolutely forbidden to borrow! My finger nails are short and functional, and on the rare occasions I've varnished them I've chipped it within an hour or two, so better not to bother, IMO.Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.0 -
How can i have gone from one room to a house, have two hanging rails, wear the same few items of clothing all the time and not have enough room to hang everything up?
I am soring out the hanging rails in our bedroom and beiong ruthless.....if i do not wear it atm its going in the boxes and suitcases with all the other stuff i don't wear anymore......0 -
Yes to nail varnish on my toes. If I had more money I'd have a regular pedi too. My vices: jewellery, shoes, my spa membership and holidays. I love shoes so very, very much... Sigh...Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Most moles are not cancerous, any doubts, please check next time you visit your GP.

I want to get dh a day at a spa for his birthday. We went to the not posh but fantastic centre parks longleat a couple of years ago and he LOVED it. I am torn between back there or the posh one at bath. There are also a handful of others in the area......
Viva, where would you go if you were me?0 -
Lir, does he like posh and decadent or does he prefer something along the lines of Centreparcs? If he's looking for more of a fun day out, with a good mix and women, he could try the one at which I'm a member, which is this one:

If you want a more decadent experience, you're spoilt for choice down your way. The Indie did a special on it this year see:

In this country, I've only been to my spa, the Sanctuary (where you can't take DH) and a smattering of hotel offerings, so can't make a suggestion.
My sil works in the spa business, so if you want to make up a short list I'll be happy to run it past her and find out what she knows. I've always fancied the posh one at Bath though. I had lunch at the restaurant there and it was stunning. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Sgh, dh is annoyingly enthusiastic aout everything.
My parents call him'mr amazing' not just coz he is, but because its the thing he is most likely to say, whether its a shooting star or a really good cuppa tea, a beautiful ocean or a charming puddle. He is easilypleased, which somehow makes pleasing him seem harder!
I know we have a few locally.....infact, i can think of four we can get to within half an hour on a good traffic day....including the two, and two in a hotel. I would probably prefer posh, but whether he would.....
Infact an example of mr amazing is that he still raves about longleat centre parks, when he used to go to saturnia every year lol!
Dh is actually the embodiment of what i tried to understand in church..childlike....he sees everything with eyes of wonder and enjoyment.0
