Painting toe nails is easy and toe nails grow much slower than finger nails. Plus toes are more protected than fingers, so really no excuse not to have painted toe nails. I choose a pale colour like pink, that way they look in reasonable condition (no chops -sorry fir) for weeks. I have also been known to top up toe varnish without removing and starting again (!)

In a very blokey style, I don't see the point in painted toenails. But then, we blokes generally can't see our feet, so it wouldn't even occur to us...

CD's, books, gigs & time to spend with friends & family are the things I want/need seek more of.
It's getting harder & harder to keep the government in the manner to which they have become accustomed.

Went all ipod a while ago and don't miss CD's.

Less time working would be nice though.

I've always kept mine hidden away. I had cheap/badly fitting shoes as a kid, meaning my toes are squished together - and when I was about 11 in gym I was told "get out of my class and remove that varnish and don't come back until it's gone"... well, I had no way to do it except to scratch it off, slowly, using the needle I had with me (always had a needle/thread as the handle on my school bag would break because I made it myself and wasn't that good). So, it took over half an hour of scratching off the varnish and top layer of nails - and they looked awful for years... in fact, so painful is the memory that even now I can't bear to look towards my feet :(

Do you mean you are still waiting or that you gave up?

There are times when I would pay to see a private GP etc just to get away from the hassle.

    Thats terrible pn.

Some pe teachers really are a special kind of nasty.

i am quite portly, but i can still see my feet. The only thing that blocks my view is higher up than my tummy, and gravity means they seem to not be quite so much infront of me as they used to be, but on release from bra have a view between them downwards.

My feet don't like crocs - they don't like the dotty bits in the bottom at all. I also think they are shoes for people with small feet. When you've got big feet like mine - size 7 - they look like Mickey Mouse feet in proportion to the body.

I've been looking for a pic of my Ferragamos but because they are last season haven't had much luck. The closest I could find (same general shape but different detailing to the front and colour) is this pair:

    http://www.tkmaxx.com/content/ebiz/tkmaxx/invt/6./e./u./77054935/77054935_large.jpg

Though if I could find a good pair from the previous seasons I'd love these ones:

I love walking around in very high heels and having the sensation of being six feet tall.
    I have tiny feet.

I didn't know shoes had seasons.... oh my! That has to be a posh alert.

Shoes is shoes ..... and some of the shoes I've got are 10-15 years old and still as good as new... if I have a decent pair (decent = £15-£20) then I only wear them for best.... and so they're rarely worn. Some charity shop shoes (£5) are in this category even though I didn't pay full price for them... they're still "for best" and leather.

I will admit to owning ONE expensive pair of shoes. Kind of a mistake, out of desperation. Had a wedding to attend, wanted a pair of shoes just like my favourite ones but new ... favourite ones were two pairs I'd got from a charity shop and worn to death .... and, at the last minute, I found the ones that were as close as I could get. £100 they cost, except I was in a shopping village so they cost £40. To date, worn them for about 1 hour at that wedding.... found that they can't be worn with tights as feeties were slipping everywhere (2 pints didn't help). So, not worn them since as they're "for best" and not been anywhere that I could wear for best shoes since.

    Me too :)
Maybe I like the crocs because they balance out my overall appearance because they're bigger.

I still don't get that "chipped" fetish your DH is going gaga for. :)

When i have asked about him he says he thinks its because its like the veneer put on for the putside world is slipped, and that he sees the vulnerable person behind the polished facade. Or something like that.

A friend of his has the same thing......his wife and i both think its batty.
