I've been looking for a pic of my Ferragamos but because they are last season haven't had much luck. The closest I could find (same general shape but different detailing to the front and colour) is this pair:

Though if I could find a good pair from the previous seasons I'd love these ones:

I love walking around in very high heels and having the sensation of being six feet tall.
I have some shoes with a HUGE platform i used to wear and cannot bring myself to sell, though i would kill myself in them now, plus i am too old and portly to make them look any thing other than ridiculous. I am five five and a half normally, in them i am well over six feet. They also had the side effect of making me laugh when i went to the loo, as the loo was so low compared to my lower leg, felt like a frog knees up around my chin:rotfl:0 -
What do you mean too old and portly? You are in your early 30s!!!! Wearing decent heels is not a young woman's game! Besides, wear them under a long palazzo style trouser leg and people will just think you are really tall with long legs and not see the shoes. Besides, most women have to be in at least their 30s to afford their first pair of Louboutins or Choos.
I still have my first designer shoes that I bought in the 1980s: a pair of Charles Jourdan stilletto courts as they are a classic style that go in and out of fashion every couple of years. I also have a pair of Beverly Feldmans that I bought that were so bonkers that they made one of those little shoe statues out of them that people used to buy. I just keep them in a box as they make me smile. Plus my wedding shoes from Emma Hope.
Shoe afficionadoes, does anyone remember the name of that French shoe designer from the 1980s who made shoes with really bonkers heels? I have several pairs with ribbed heels and one with geometric heels. They had a shop at Bicester at one point, but I just had a look at the map and they aren't there anymore. I don't think it is Maud Frizon, but I have a pair of hers too and her name won't go out of my head. ETA: remembered: Stephane Kelian... Mmmmm... lovely. ETA again... Is it Stephane Kelian? I am so confused and don't want to go in the loft to find out. I have ordered myself a book on vintage shoe designers. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? But these aren't anything like choos or laboutins.......these really you are too old (and too stylish) for over 22 imo. They are not chic, but i did have good times in them, so i keep them!
I wear heels. I have been know to need a walking stick or chair in order to wear the shoes i want to wear, and to walk through a city barefoot:eek: and the end of a midwinter evening in oder to enjoy nice shoes and a clutch bag.....0 -

Ah, I'm with you now. I have a Fiorucci bikini that I had from when I was in my early 20s and a size 10. It is the only time I've been a size 10 because generally I've got too big a frame and my bones stick out, a 12-14 is a more comfortable size for me (though at the moment I'd quite like to be that too). It didn't cover very much, two triangles on a string for the top and not a lot more for the bottom. I keep it because it is about the size of a hanky and doesn't take up much space, but no way on this earth would I ever be seen in it again - even if by some miracle it actually fitted! There's some things that can only be done in your early 20s.Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Is there some significance to the plethora of purple the opposition are wearing today? Is this labour with a hint of blue?0

I don't think I've ever seen Mrs McT leave the house in less than 5" heels.Louboutins or Choos.
She has a cupboard full of them.
Thank god today's budget didn't tax red soles and pink dustbags.“The great enemy of the truth is very often not the lie – deliberate, contrived, and dishonest – but the myth, persistent, persuasive, and unrealistic.
