You must be 69 Lydia. I was 66. I'm thinking viva will be 64?
Were not that far apart.
I don't know when Lydia was born, but the last Apollo mission was in December 1972, so anyone in their 40s will have been around for at least one of them, though fair enough they may not remember much!
I quite like being born in 1964. Let's keep it like that;). I am also in my 40s. My toyboy husband is the same age as you all the sssssss. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Most moles are not cancerous, any doubts, please check next time you visit your GP.

Thanks. Not there yet but I have to say I feel at times that the knocking at the door is bloomin' loud. Though that could be a result of DH's veiled threats to sign me up to just about every Saga brochure and Stannah Stairlift catalogue as a gift when the time comes. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? I know its banter, but it is quite relentless... I spent my 40th birthday in an office near Heathrow Airport. We spent his on the island of Tobago hiking up a waterfall. He was still a grumpy git. Landmark ages aren't good. Though ultimately when I do cross from my 40s into my 50s my looks aren't going to change overnight, nor my mental faculties or abilities, so it is just a number (she tells herself). Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? You're no where near there yet but 50's, if not 60's will be the best years, I'm convinced

My view on the 60's...
I feel I missed out by not experiencing them as a teenager in some ways as they looked the best times (grass greener probably). It just seems everything has went down hill from then onwards in many ways.
If we didn't have the tech of these days what would we have!
It was indeed a magical time, but over everything hung the feeling that we wouldn't get to see our 30s, so the nostalgia has to be tempered by that.
I still remember my friend saying, "See you tomorrow" at the time of the Cuban missile crisis.
Without thiking about it, I replied, "If there is a tomorrow!"
I must have been a bundle of fun, eh? Asheron Mk 1 perhaps! :rotfl:0 -
Either you have mega appliances and the wiring to go with it or you mean kw and not kwh. Spinning will always use a lot less energy than drying but may make the ironing harder. WE always spin everything at 1600.Nerdy alert.
Is it cheaper to spin clothes then tumble dry, or put them straight in the tumble dryer? My W/M has an extra spin option, 4 minutes at 900 rpm which uses about 1.2kWh, the dryer uses about 0.6kWh in a minute, so its a question of whether the extra spin reduces drying time and for how many times it is worth repeating the spin cycle.I think....0
